Request for Information Regarding Use of Alternative Data and Modeling Techniques in the Credit Process

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB or Bureau) seeks information about the use or potential use of alternative data and modeling techniques in the credit process. The Bureau seeks to learn more about current and future market developments, including existing and emerging consumer benefits and risks, and how these developments could alter the marketplace and the consumer experience. The Bureau also seeks to learn how market participants are or could be mitigating certain risks to consumers, and about consumer preferences, views, and concerns.

30-Day PRA - High-Cost Mortgage and Homeownership Counseling Amendments to the Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z)

In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is requesting to renew the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval for an existing information collection titled, “High-Cost Mortgage and Homeownership Counseling Amendments to the Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z).”

Amendments Relating to Small Creditors and Rural or Underserved Areas Under the Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z)

The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (Bureau) proposes amendments to certain mortgage rules issued in 2013. The proposed rule revises the Bureau's regulatory definitions of small creditor, and rural and underserved areas, for purposes of certain special provisions and exemptions from various requirements provided to certain small creditors under the Bureau's rules.

Fair Credit Reporting (Regulation V); Correction

Pursuant to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), as amended, the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (Bureau) published for public comment an interim final rule establishing a new Regulation V (Fair Credit Reporting) on December 21, 2011. This document corrects typographical and other technical errors in Appendices I, K, M, and N of the interim final rule, which contain model forms.
