Supervisory Highlights Consumer Reporting Special Edition

The CFPB is committed to a policy of transparency that informs the public, as much as possible given the need for confidentiality in supervision, of its supervisory goals, work, and accomplishments. The CFPB believes this policy will help the public better understand the work the CFPB is doing through its supervision program to protect consumers, and will help the financial services industry better understand and comply with laws that are intended to ensure fair treatment of consumers. We periodically publish Supervisory Highlights to share general information about examination findings without identifying specific institutions.

In this issue of Supervisory Highlights, we share findings from recent supervisory examination observations in Consumer Reporting. These observations include findings from examinations at consumer reporting companies and at companies that furnish information to consumer reporting companies.
