This position is in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Division of Consumer Response & Education Division (CRE). The incumbent is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring procurements in support of programs that advance the goals of the Bureau's program work to serve the public through CRE's operating budget. The position ensures that CRE contracts and contract requirements support the Bureau's strategic plans, mission, responsibilities, and priorities.
Responsibilities
The following are the duties of this position at the CN-53, broadly equivalent to the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
- Foster partnerships with the Procurement Office and other internal Bureau stakeholders to ensure all contractors' business methods and operating procedures align with the needs of the CRE strategic plan and the core mission of the CFPB.
- Manage contractual and procurement related work associated with CRE-funded programs.
- Provide acquisition support by performing market research, develop acquisition, quality assurance and surveillance and source selection plans, review statements of work and independent government cost estimates and monitor the overall performance of all assigned CRE contracts.
- Coordinate with the Procurement, Finance, and other key stakeholder offices and represents the CRE Division's views during a variety of pre-award and/or post-award procurement actions, as necessary.
