Webinar training

Each month we present a webinar on a financial education topic. Past webinars are added to the archive a few weeks after their presentation date.

Two free CFPB FinEx webinars in January 2020

1. Equifax Data Breach Settlement on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020 (2–3 p.m. ET)

Earlier this year, the CFPB, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), 48 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico announced a global settlement with Equifax related to the 2017 data breach that impacted approximately 147 million consumers. January 22, 2020, is the last day to file a claim for certain unreimbursed out-of-pocket losses or time spent dealing with the breach, free credit monitoring services or alternative reimbursement compensation to defray the costs of purchasing your own credit monitoring service, and for reimbursement of up to 25 percent paid for Equifax subscription products prior to the breach. Learn how your clients can determine if they were impacted, how to file a claim, and the deadlines for doing so.

2. CFPB FinEx 2019 Customer Satisfaction Survey Results on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020 (2–3 p.m. ET)

Thank you to the hundreds of CFPB FinEx participants that completed our web-based customer service survey that launched in August 2019! During this webinar, we will share the survey results with CFPB FinEx participants, and our plans to respond to those results. We will also share what we learned about your interests, challenges, and program ideas for the important aspects of the CFPB FinEx program.

If you are a member of our Financial Education Exchange (CFPB FinEx) and have been receiving monthly announcements of upcoming webinars, you do not need to register. You will receive an email closer to the date that contains the log-in information. If you are not receiving monthly announcements containing log-in instructions for accessing the monthly webinars, please email and ask to be placed on our CFPB FinEx email list or click here to sign up.
