Supervisory Highlights: Winter 2015
The supervision of companies offering financial products and services is one of our core functions, and we remain committed to periodically publishing Supervisory Highlights to share general information about examination findings without identifying specific institutions (except for public enforcement actions). We also publish this report to communicate operational changes to our supervision program, and to provide a convenient resource for information on the Bureau’s recent guidance documents.
In this issue of Supervisory Highlights, we report examination findings in the areas of mortgage origination, consumer reporting, debt collection, fair lending and deposits. As in past editions, today’s report includes information about remedial actions that resulted, at least in part, from our supervisory work.
