Servicemembers 2015: A Year in Review

This is the fourth annual report detailing the data and trends surrounding complaints submitted to the CFPB by servicemembers, veterans and their families. In 2015, the CFPB received over 19,000 complaints from servicemembers, veterans, and their families. The top three most complained about products or services were debt collection, mortgages, and credit reporting. Of the 19,000 complaints received, nearly half were about debt collection. The report also provides information about Bureau enforcement actions that have resulted in over $5 million in relief to the military community and describes the outreach and educational initiatives the Office of Servicemember Affairs has done in the past year.
