Preparing for a review

It’s helpful to do a few things before working on your review.

  1. Gather all materials for the curriculum including:
    • Scope and sequence
    • Lesson plans
    • Student assessments
    • Guidance for teachers
  2. Collect studies and other evidence of the curriculum’s impact
  3. When possible, assemble a team to review the curriculum together
  4. Set aside up to two to three hours to complete an entire curriculum review or plan to do one dimension at a time

Collaborating on a review

When you start a new review, the review will be assigned an access code. We don’t recommend sharing an access code to collaborate on a review. More than one person working on a review simultaneously may result in information being overwritten or lost.

How to save your work

When you start a new review, the review will be assigned an access code. Please save this code so that you can return to your review later. You will not be able to access an existing review without an access code. After you finish each dimension, we recommend you print the summary or save it as a PDF.
