States and Consumer Financial Protection

This session was a panel discussion on the applications of the Consumer Financial Protection Act to address federal and state level consumer protection issues. The panelists included:

• Veronica Spicer (Deputy Assistant Director, Supervision, CFPB)

The CFPB convenes enforcement agencies across the government – including federal agencies, state attorneys, general, and state insurance commissioners – to sharpen our combined efforts to ensure consumers are protected. We’ve hosted trainings and briefings on numerous consumer financial protection topics, including emerging practices in biometrics and how to address algorithmic harms.
