Working with tribal governments

It’s crucial that our work meets the needs of consumers in Indian Country and respects the unique relationship between the federal government and tribal nations.

Today we’re announcing our new tribal consultation policy, along with our new email address where tribal governments can contact us:

Tribal.Consult@cfpb.gov

Part of our commitment to protecting consumers across the country means paying particular attention to the needs and concerns of Indian Country. This announcement also builds on our partnership with the Navajo Nation, engagement with tribes across the country on financial education, and ongoing work to identify and address the needs of consumers in Indian Country.
