Since late 2021, the CFPB has been analyzing the various vectors where fraud is being perpetrated today and is identifying the new ways where we expect fraud to be perpetrated in the future. Addressing these will require a range of policy tools and private-sector action.

Featuring remarks from Bureau Director Kathleen Kraninger, this Symposium will focus on consumer-authorized data access and Section 1033 of the Dodd-Frank Act. The Bureau faces several important policy decisions in the coming years and the symposia series aims to stimulate a robust and proactive dialogue to assist the Bureau in its policy development process.
