CFPB Field Hearing on contract for deed in the Twin Cities

On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, the CFPB hosted a field hearing on contract for deed financing in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Members of the public heard from CFPB Director Rohit Chopra; state and local elected leaders; and legal, advocacy, and policy experts, who discussed challenges consumers are experiencing with contract for deed and other forms of alternative financing.
