CFPB financial report fiscal year 2025

The financial report provides readers with the summary results of the CFPB’s operational activity, and it is the principal statement of our accountability to the American people, the United States Congress, and the President of the United States. Our commitment to transparency and accountability is evident in the Bureau earning its fifteenth consecutive unmodified (clean) audit opinion on our financial statements for fiscal year 2025.

Title X of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and the Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act, 2011, both require CFPB to prepare financial statements annually and require Government Accountability Office to audit the agency's financial statements and issue an opinion annually on CFPB's financial statements and on related internal controls.  Specifically, GAO found (1) the CFPB financial statements as of and for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2025, are presented fairly, in all material respects, in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles; (2) CFPB maintained, in all material respects, effective internal control over financial reporting as of September 30, 2025; and (3) no reportable noncompliance for fiscal year 2025 with provisions of applicable laws, regulations, contracts, and grant agreements GAO tested.
