What is a survey?

Answer:

A survey is a drawing of your property showing the location of the lot, the house and any other structures, as well as any improvements on the property.

Check with your lender and title insurance company to see if an updated survey is acceptable. You may be able to avoid paying for a new survey if you are able to obtain an updated survey from the company that previously surveyed the property.
