Prepaid Accounts Under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (Regulation E) and the Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z); Delay of Effective Date

The Bureau issued a final rule to delay the Oct. 1, 2017 effective date of the rule governing Prepaid Accounts Under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (Regulation E) and the Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z) (the Prepaid Accounts Final Rule) by six months, to April 1, 2018. On Jan. 25, 2018, the Bureau issued a final rule modifying several aspects of the Prepaid Accounts Final Rule and further extending the effective date to April 1, 2019.
