Request for Information Regarding Data Brokers and Other Business Practices Involving the Collection and Sale of Consumer Information

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is seeking comments from the public related to data brokers. Registry of Supervised Nonbanks that Use Form Contracts to Impose Terms and Conditions That Seek to Waive or Limit Consumer Legal Protections

The Bureau is proposing to establish a public registry for nonbanks subject to the Bureau’s supervisory authority that use covered terms or conditions, as described in the proposed rule, in a new part 1092 in title 12 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
