On October 1, 2021, the Bureau released frequently asked questions on limited-content messages and the call frequency provisions in the Debt Collection Rule.

On September 1, 2021, the Bureau issued a Federal Register notice withdrawing the proposed effective date delay for the October and December 2020 Debt Collection Final Rules. The Debt Collection Rules will take effect as planned, on November 30, 2021.

On April 16, 2021, the Bureau updated the Small Entity Compliance Guide to add discussion of the December 2020 Rule requirements.
