Privacy Act Statement for Research Participants

The information you provide to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) during the research study is used to inform and improve CFPB public products, services, and resources.

With your consent, the CFPB may capture recordings of your responses as you participate in the research study. This may include screen captures, audio recordings, and video recordings. External partners and interagency working groups may be present during the live session. The recordings will only be shared with CFPB employees, contractors, and other stakeholders with a valid business reason for the purpose of understanding your feedback and improving CFPB products, services, and resources, and only after your PII (like name and face) have been removed.

Your feedback will be kept private and will not be linked to you. Only de-identified and aggregated information will be included in any final or published reports, which may be shared internally within CFPB and with external CFPB partners and stakeholders. None of your identifying information will be included in the reports. The CFPB does not anticipate further disclosure of your personal information except as required by law.
