The CFPB's small business lending database will be the most comprehensive source of publicly available information on U.S. small business lending. Learn about data filing and publication.
About the small business lending rule
The CFPB’s rule on small business lending data requires covered financial institutions and voluntary reporters to maintain, report, and publicly disclose information about small business lending. This data is intended to help show whether lenders are serving the credit needs of small businesses in their communities, by increasing transparency in the lending marketplace.

Test the beta platform
The SBL beta platform is currently offline. In November 2025, the CFPB has proposed changes to the data points to be reported under the section 1071 rule. The SBL beta platform will remain offline until the Bureau has completed consideration of the revisions it has proposed and made updates accordingly.
Download the data
After data collection begins, the CFPB will modify the public data as appropriate to protect applicant and borrower privacy. Once that data is published, it will be available to download from this page.
