Reverse Mortgages Report

Congress directed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to conduct a study on reverse mortgages as part of the Dodd-Frank
Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. A reverse mortgage is a special type of home loan for older homeowners that requires no monthly mortgage payments. This report examines the changes that have taken place in the marketplace and in the
consumers who use reverse mortgages.
