Our mission is to help ensure a financial services marketplace that operates in accordance with federal consumer financial law and works well for both consumers and businesses that serve them. Since the last issue of Supervisory Highlights, our supervisory activities have continued to identify mortgage servicing problems, including unfair and deceptive practices.
In this issue of Supervisory Highlights, we describe our mortgage servicing concerns as well as other significant compliance issues found and addressed during supervision work completed between July and October 2013. We also provide updates on public enforcement actions resulting from or supported by supervision, and relevant guidance issued during this period.
