In addition, when I finally do get title for my vehicle, the DMV is going to require that I pay the sales tax for the lease buyout. The sales tax for the vehicle was covered in the loan that I got from Chase at the time I bought out the lease. I do not understand how this amount was generated as the loan for the buyout on the lease was {$32000.00}. That is a difference of around {$7000.00}. I did not agree to any other number and was well aware what the buy out price was. I did agree to an extended warranty and I know there were dealer, DMV fees involved so I didn't think much of it when I signed. After now reviewing this contract I see that none of those fees I just mentioned above are even incorporated into that {$39000.00} and were then tacked on to make the new loan amount to {$41000.00}. They are very pushy to get you to sign and did not even give me a copy of the contract on that day. I did not even get to see contract again until recently when I was able to look at me account online. Ohio still only recognizes the leasing company as the owner of the vehicle when in fact that lease was closed on XX/XX/XXXX and I am now responsible for paying Ally for the vehicle. The current registration expires on XX/XX/XXXX and I can not renew the registration without a new/updated memorandum Title from XXXX/Ally. After XX/XX/XXXX I will not be able to drive the vehicle legally. HOWEVER, I am will still be responsible for making monthly payments on a vehicle that I will soon not be able to drive. We called only to be told Kia doesn't offer lease buyouts. This has become absurd as all we are trying to do is complete our lease with the purchase of this vehicle. How is it legal for our contract to say that we can purchase this vehicle if Kia Finance is blocking us from executing this part of our signed contract with them? At the very least this is bad business, but I suspect that it is borderline fraud given that we have completed our obligations but Kia refuses to help with selling us this vehicle. At the very least you would think Kia representatives would be trained about how to properly service their products given that the dealership gave us wrong information. The service representative on the phone offered us a way to extend our lease up to 6 months, but this makes me think this is a known issue that Kia just isn't fixing. I have all the relevant documents, dates of calls, and all the leg work it has taken to discover this issue. Please at least attempt to see if you can help with this issue.
