I demanded that TransUnion remove this account. However, I received the same response from TransUnion dated XX/XX/year>, reiterating : We recently received a request that included your information, but it didn't appear that you or a properly authorized third party sent it to us. '' Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), consumer reporting agencies are legally obligated to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation of any disputed information on a consumers credit file.
