I was not able to log into my Experian account as it asked me security questions that did not have anything to do with myself. None of the jobs listed to choose were mine. I do not have a car loan. Because of that, I am not able to dispute the information through Experian. I decided to dispute this through the CFPB. Experian sent me my information and credit report through the mail. On the report, my name is incorrect, my social security number is incorrect, my address is incorrect, my phone number is incorrect, and my occupation is incorrect. The only account listed that belongs to me is a student loan. None of the credit cards listed belong to me. I currently have one credit card and that account is not listed. I have confirmed with the Social Security Administration that my social security number is mine and is not tied to anyone but me. XXXX reports my information correctly. I do not understand why my information is listed like this. I do not understand why XXXX could not fix it with my first dispute with the CFPB. I want my information to be listed correctly on Experian and on my credit report. After two days of  trying to contact someone at SS, I was able to speak with someone who said their security screening comes from a \" credit reporting bureau in  XXXX . '' They suggested I get a free credit report from all  XXXX  credit bureaus and I did. Both  XXXX  and  XXXX  were no problem -- their security questions were all accurate and I received my credit reports online with no problem. Equifax, however, asked ALL false questions. Each  one (   as above ) asked questions that did NOT pertain to me and it locked me out. Equifax is located in  XXXX . After days of trying to find a human to speak with, I was told that they could not \" verify '' my identity ( all false questions agai n ) and s aid they would mail me a credit report. When I receive it, there was a false alias -- my correct name, but spelled wrong --  and two fal se addresses. They  did ( apparently )  successfully remove the wrong name, confirming over the phone that the person reported did NOT match my ss # o r DOB. After MULTIPLE  promises that they have deleted th he two false addresses, they are STILL showing up on my report. ( I have THREE disp utes now that each say they have removed these addresses! ) I STILL  get four f alse security questions every time I try to get an Equifax report and get locked out every time. I STILL CA N'T OPEN A SOCIAL SECURITY DO T GOV ACC OUNT because Equifax is feeding them the wrong background information about me! HELP!!! This has been going on for WELL over a month and the man I finally spoke with today (  XXXX   )  was extremely rude, saying that I was obviously told the addresses were removed in error and implied that the only reason they 'd still be on my account would be if a debtor had CONFIRMED that these addresses in fact belong to me! He said that he would have my complaint sent to the fraud department, where it can take up to a MONTH to get resolved!! On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Equifax, correctly addressed to me, stating my new address, which is my current and correct address, with an old address that was and has never been an address of mine. I immediately knew that my information was being spliced with the same woman whose information has appeared on my credit report for 13 years. I called and disputed the incorrect address explaining that I HAVE NOT ever lived at that address and that, I AM NOT this other woman whose information still appears on my credit report. On XX/XX/XXXX, I receive a letter from Equifax to my correct address but addressed to the wrong person - this other woman whose name has incorrectly appeared on my credit reports for 13 years. Again the misinformation and errors continue on their part. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, I  received a credit report from Equifax to my correct mailing address but addressed to this other woman. The credit report lists me as this other woman, lists her social security number, her date of birth, incorrect past addresses, and incorrect loan information. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, I receive another letter from Equifax addressed this time to the incorrect woman at my correct address. So correct address but wrong name. At this point I want to pull my hair out! When I go online to dispute the information in my credit report with the confirmation number that is on the credit report I was sent by Equifax, I can not even log into the page because the security questions are based on the credit information of this other woman. I then call Equifax and get a voice message informing me that they are closed on XX/XX/XXXX for the holiday. I called today, XX/XX/XXXX, and was told that I have to send in ( once again ) a copy of my social security card, my birth certificate, and my driver 's license to them in order for them to correct the information. I have already done this in the past. I now have to do it again. I was told that there is nothing they can do to fix this unless I do all of this again. I went directly to the website requested a dispute, I was asked four questions answered them correctly and was able to obtain the information I needed after the customer service rep told me they were unable to verify my identity and told me to send in another copy of my address and social security number which is the same address and social security number I sent in just one month ago. He stated the same as the previous rep that  XXXX   XXXX  provided the social security number I asked to speak to someone who could explain how the first collection agency did not have social, but now there was  XXXX  on the account. I hung up and called  XXXX   XXXX  where I spoke to  XXXX  in Fraud.  XXXX  verified that they did not have a social security number and she stated that collection agencies have their own ways of getting information. I called back to  Diversified and w as transferred me to an  XXXX  who was supposed to be in compliance. He could not answer the question and transferred me to  XXXX   XXXX  who was supposed to be a compliance specialist. She was unprofessional and did not want to answer questions. She stated that  XXXX   XXXX  sent them social and I let her know that  XXXX   XXXX  says they did not send the number with the account. I then realized they had pulled my credit. I asked  XXXX  had they pulled my credit and she kept saying over and over, \" Why would we do that. '' I attempted five times to get her to answer the question and she would not tell me if they had pulled my credit or not. I made a payment by telephone and received a letter in the mail informing me the payment did not go through. At the time I made the payment, I was told I did not owe a payment so I just figured I would wait for my next statment in the mail. After, not being able to use the card I call on XX/XX/XXXX and was informed I missed a payment. At this point I decided to payoff the card and close the account. I was unable to make online payments and get accurate information concerning the balance on the card and so I decided to just get rid of the card and close the account. I was given the balance on the account from the suntrust repersentative and gave by bank information over the telephone to pay and close the account. {$5100.00} was withdrawn from my savings account and given to Suntrust. The Suntrust representative closed the credit card account and applied the payment to an account that did not belong to me. I found out the payment was applied to the wrong account when I returned a call from Suntrust. I was told the situtation would be corrected and asked to file a complaint against the employee who applied my payment to an account that did not belong me. A letter was mailed to me from SunTrust on XX/XX/XXXX, stating that the balance was {$5200.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, I receive a letter from Suntrust stating that the balance due on my card is {$5200.00} and that I have a past due amount of {$70.00}. They still have not correctly applied my payment. I reached out to SunTrust this morning, I'm told that in order to move forward with my call, I must answer two security questions. The eviction belonged to another person, not me. The landlord uses TransUnion and was doing a background check/credit history on me and questioned us as to this eviction. TransUnion reported this stranger 's name and apartment number at XXXX  XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and referenced a court judgement/eviction on MY RECORD, which caused the landlord, rightly so, to question us as to our honesty about never having been evicted. TransUnion refused to accept responsibility and stood by their data even though the name belonged to someone else who had the same first name and middle initial as mine, and the wrong apartment number. I have never been evicted. They also had another apartment complex on my record, which I never lived in, and an incorrect phone number. I spent days trying to contact and get records to prove them wrong. Finally I was able, after 3 days, to get the necessary information sent to me from the apartment complex who did evict this other person, so that I could forward the correct information to our potential landlord. We could have lost this house because of TransUnion 's error. Also, the person 's court/judgement information who was actually evicted was shared with the landlord, violating his privacy. I was able to get TransUnion to correct my credit report but it was very difficult to do so, and put us in a position to potentially lose this home rental. TransUnion made me jump through hoops to prove that they were wrong even though they referenced an incorrect sur name and an incorrect apartment number. They spoke legalese as to why they were standing by their WRONG data. We had to provide a copy of my security deposit being returned to me as proof that I was not evicted and an email from that complex that I was never evicted. I had to provide paperwork proving when I lived there as well as some other documents.
