However, when I went to check if my social security number was used through the official website, it said that it was in use, as well as my full name and birthdate were associated with the account. When I try to contact Citi, I am told they don't see this dispute in their system, but then if I push them further I am told it is under fraud investigation. I have not been issued a security credit on these charges, nor have I been told when I can expect a resolution.
