I was not contacted by the company directly or made aware of the breach until I heard the news in the general media yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX. I do not consider that to be the most expedient time possible, as CCC XXXX states. The news also noted that in early XXXX, several Equifax executives sold over a $ million of stock, which declined about 13 % in value when the news of the breach was made public. The company, which markets and sales data security services, clearly does not understand the responsibilities of data security and breach notification. There are two other credit reporting agencies. Therefore, the loss of Equifax will not cause major damage to the credit reporting marketplace.
