I thought I was well within the minimums and deposit requirements for this account however, what I found out was that because my account is so old, Wells Fargo no longer posts the Fees and minimums for their Money Market Savings Accounts. When I look on their website and download the fee and minimum schedule, they only list XXXX accounts, a Way2Save Account and a Platinum Savings Account. I assumed I had a Way2Save Account or that the fees and minimums were the same. Additionally in XXXX I was a victim of their account opening scandal where I was told I needed to open a seperate Way2Save Savings Account as overdraft protection since neither my checking or saving accounts. This account was closed when I found out that I was lied too. I assumed my Money Market fees were similar to this account, however, they were not. The minimum for the Way2Save was {$300.00}. I found out from contacting Wells Fargo that my Money Market Account was {$2500.00} or it can be waived with a {$75.00} recurring monthly deposit from my checking account. This is closer to the fees associated with the Platinum Account. \n\nAfter finding out I had been charged these fees, I called XXXX XXXX and looked online to find out the fees for my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account and Money Market Savings Account. Wells Fargo also reimbursed me {$22.00} or {$7.00} for each {$10.00} I was charged. \n\nIn summary, I feel not posting minimums is a deceptive practice and that banks should be required to clearly and concisely provide this information to their customers. At the time, this included savings and brokerage accounts, a fact confirmed in U.S. Bank 's own promotional materials and account terms. \n\nNow, U.S. Bank has abruptly changed this requirement, stating that the {$100000.00} must be held exclusively in a non-interest-bearing checking account. This revision is both illogical and punitive, amounting to a hidden $ XXXX annual cost based on the opportunity loss of interest income from a high-yield savings account. \n\nThis bait-and-switch tactic appears to be part of a coordinated strategy : attract new customers under generous-sounding terms, then retroactively impose stricter, less beneficial conditions once a customer base has been built. Not only does this practice violate basic principles of good faith, it creates significant financial harm for responsible consumers who made informed decisions based on the original terms. \n\nMaking matters worse, U.S. Bank appears to be selectively enforcing these new terms. Some customers report being allowed to continue using savings and investment balances to qualify, while others, like myself, are being denied that option. This inconsistency raises further questions about discrimination, fairness, and transparency. '' During the enrollment process, and the \" conversion '' of my money from My Intended and Planned purpose to merely deposit my XXXX XXXX Settlement Check into my already existing Checking Account so that I could go to XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, in a few days, and invest my money, the Acting Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager, asked if I wanted to keep the information online, or keep the account to have mailed bank statements. We discussed about the size of the deposit, and so with her advice, as well, I chose to NOT have my \" Stellar Savings Account '' online. \n\nThe choice to stay offline, ended up being a really bad choice, overall, as the lapse in time in bank statements, and other personal matters, including my own health issues, and that my brother was fighting XXXX XXXX, and very sadly did transition, and that I was very busy filing, what ended up being three ( 3 ) separate Federal Court Cases, all during the time frame, I was \" exploited '' and \" ripped off '' of what I say is, thousands of dollars of my money, what I believe was stolen by the TD Bank Employees, including the Acting Store Manager/Assistant Store Manger. \n\nI also fully believe that the Acting Store/Manager/Assistant Store Manager May have received a \" bonus '' or \" perk '' or \" raise '' or some sort of benefit to herself, by pretty much \" forcing '' me to open the \" new '' \" Stellar Savings Account '' So, while I was busy on 1200 pages of documents over a year and a half, in the three ( 3 ) Federal Court Cases, and fighting through being sick, and even injured, and dealing with family and their sickness, between XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, I was going to the TD Bank Store Location that opened my \" Stellar Savings Account '', and I would get cash, but I kept telling the various Bank Tellers, including the Acting Store Manger/Assistant Store Manager, that \" opened '' the \" Stellar Savings Account '' that \" I felt that my balances were wrong, and that I was going through my money too quickly, and that I needed to get with an investor, or do something so I wouldn't lose all of my money. '' They even know that I was paying additional mortgage payments, to bring down the principal on my home, but they did NOTHING to Assist me, help me, guide me, or even direct me to any of the other TD Bank actual Brokerage Investment Subsidiaries, of TD Bank, such as TD Ameritrade or the TD Bank Investment Management Offices. \n\nInstead, from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, I was \" deprived '' of my \" ownership interest in my financial assets for the future, for my son and I '', in \" trusting '' the Fiduciary Confidence and Advice of the Acting Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager, who to me \" represented '' herself, as a \" Broker '' and her TD Branch Store Location, as an \" Investment Brokerage. '' I met with the Acting Store Manager/Assistant Store Manger in XXXX of XXXX, and asked her \" Where is all of my Money? '' and \" Why am I broke? '' The Acting Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager did NOTHING. \n\nIn XXXX of XXXX, I contacted the TD Regional Branch Manager, and advised of what occurred, and that I felt I had been \" Exploited '' and \" Ripped Off '' as a XXXX Adult in Florida, and that I wanted my {$100000.00} back, as I feel that the Acting Store Manger/Assistant Store Manger, had no Legal Right or Capacity, to tell me to NOT Take my check to XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and to \" force '' me to \" open a \" New '' \" Stellar Savings Account '' and that they completely misrepresented themselves, as a \" Broker '' and their TD Bank Store Location, as an \" Investment Brokerage, '' and I kept claiming that Money was going out of my \" Stellar Savings Account '' faster than I could account for in my receipts or records. \n\nThe TD Bank Regional Branch Manager did NOTHING. \n\nSo, in XXXX of XXXX, I once again, contacted the TD Bank Regional Branch Manger, and advised of the Violations of Florida Statutes 812, Theft, Robbery and Related Crimes, specifically, Chapter 812.014 ( 1 ), ( a ), ( b ) and ( 2 ) ( a ) ( 1 ), and that the Acting Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager had \" converted '' my money, by \" grabbing '' my check, and then \" forcing '' me to \" open '' a \" new '' \" Stellar Savings Account, '' and as such, I was \" deprived '' from my \" intended '' \" plan '' and \" goal '' to \" invest '' my \" ownership interest '' in my XXXX XXXX Settlement Monies and Assets, of the {$100000.00}, with XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX. I further advised the TD Bank Regional Manager that TD Bank is a Commercial Bank, and does NOT meet the same legal authority, point or purpose as an \" Investment Brokerage, '' such as XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX. \n\nAdditionally, I also advised TD Bank that they have Violated Florida Statutes Chapter 825, Exploitation of a XXXX Adult, specifically, Florida Statutes 825.105 \" Good Faith Assistance '' in that the Acting Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager, took advantage of me, and \" exploited '' me and BOUND TD Bank to me as an \" Investment Brokerage '' firm and company, when the Acting Store Manager/Assistant Store Manger \" opened '' the \" Stellar Savings Account '' that they would be \" brokering '' my \" financial assets and resources, for the future. '' The TD Bank Regional Branch Manager responded to my letter by sending me copies of my Bank Statements, and Copies of the Savings & CD Withdrawal Slips. \n\nWithin days, I responded to the TD Bank Regional Bank Manager, that I was again, Demanding Full Settlement, of My {$100000.00}, XXXX XXXX Settlement Assets and Resources, as out of the Fifty-Four ( 54 ) Official TD Bank Savings & CD Withdrawal Slips ( \" Slips '' ), at least Thirty-Five ( 35 ) of the Slips, have been Altered, have Mistakes, Have Errors, are Missing Information, or are Incomplete and the other Nineteen ( 19 ) slips, even though they appear to be complete, they also seem to be missing information or have altered information. \n\n1. Many of the 35 Slips, do NOT have the completed Written Dollar Amount to verify the Actual Numerical Cash Withdrawal amount. \n\n2. And there is a Savings & Withdrawal Slip where the WRITTEN AMOUNT says TWENTY FIVE and the DOLLAR AMOUNT says {$2500.00}! There is QUITE a DIFFERENCE Between {$25.00} Dollars and {$2500.00} Dollars. \n\nAdditionally, there are Savings & CD Cash Withdrawal Slips where it looks like a number 1 has been added to a Prior Slip, that was a {$400.00} dollar withdrawal became a {$1400.00} Withdrawal and a {$700.00} Dollar withdrawal looks like it became {$1700.00} Cash Withdrawal Slip. \n\nAnd a NUMBER of the SLIPS LOOK like there are EXTRA SPACES by the NUMERICAL NUMBERS where they should be closer together, like someone may have Photocopied a Larger withdrawal Slip and then Whited Out and/or Changed, REUSED, and FORGED the withdrawal slip, to have a different dollar amount. \n\nAnd Some of the Slips the Numerical Number is Changed, but there is NO WRITTEN DOLLAR amount to Verify the Withdrawal amount. \n\n3. Some Savings and CD Cash Withdrawal Slips ( Slips ) have My name spelled wrong, as XXXX or just my last name XXXX with a scribble at the end. And additionally, some of the Slips Looked Copied Over as my signature looks exactly the same 4. Some Slips have Employee Initials 5. Some Slips do NOT have Employee Initials 6. Some Slips have Multiple Employee Initials with some written over or altered 7. Some Slips have NO DATE, and other slips have Errors on the Date, with some Slips missing the Year and/or part of the date is written over 8. Some Slips have Errors on the Account Numbers and they have been written over, changed or altered 9. And there appears to be a number of XXXX initials, as many as 15 of them, yet, I don't know a TD Bank Employee that works at the TD Bank Store Location, with those initials. \n\nHowever, I do know from being a TD Bank Client, the former teller XXXX, whom I happened to see at the grocery store a number of months ago, was one of the main tellers that had access to my \" Stellar Savings Account '', during the time frame the majority of my cash came up \" missing '' or \" unaccountable '' and then she either quit, or was fired, as she was criminally charged for, I believe it was, Scheming to defraud ' as I saw her mugshot in the local crime report for being arrested in the spring of XXXX. \n\nI further advised the TD Bank Regional Bank Manager that because the Acting Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager is in Violation of Florida Statutes Chapter 812 Theft and/or for \" Conversion '' of my \" ownership interest '' in my {$100000.00} XXXX XXXX Settlement and also in Violation of Florida Statutes Chapter 825 Exploitation of a XXXX Adult in Florida, for failing to have \" Good Faith Assistance '' with regard to the \" pre-existing '' \" fiduciary relationship '' and failed to assist me, with maintaining my financial stability, assets and resources for my son and I, for our future. \n\nI also then further advised the TD Bank Regional Manager that since the Acting Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager is in Violation of Florida Statutes Chapters 812 and Chapters 825, I am allowed to file \" Pre-Settlement Notice '' of Violation of Florida Statutes Chapter 772, Civil Remedies for Criminal Practices, I would then be entitled to \" three fold actual damages, or treble damages. '' I am seeking reimbursement of all {$100000.00} of my XXXX XXXX Settlement Monies, along with the treble damages for a Total Demand Settlement of {$300000.00}, as the Acting Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager, whom had a \" pre-existing '' \" Fiduciary Relationship '' had no legal Right or Capacity to tell me to NOT take my check to XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and then to \" convert '' my funds to her TD Bank Commercial Bank and to \" exploit '' me of my financial assets and resources, to what may even be her personal gain or benefit, without any assistance, or maintenance to me, as a XXXX person under the Laws of the State of Florida. \n\nI requested for the TD Bank Regional Branch Manager to Settle with me, out of court, to avoid the attorney 's fees, and costs of filing litigation in this matter. \n\nThe TD Bank Regional Branch Manger, declined to settle out of court. \n\nI already outlined the Threefold or Treble Damages, under Florida Chapter 772.11 ( 1 ), and I am in the process of preparing another Demand for Settlement Letter, which will further comply with the \" Pre-suit '' Requirements of Florida Statutes Chapter 772.11 ( 1 ). \n\nAdditionally, I sent an email on XX/XX/XXXX, to the TD Bank Regional Manager, as TD Bank, is also guilty of Violating Florida Statutes Chapter 655, Title XXXVIII, Banks and Banking, and specifically, Chapter 655.50, the \" Florida Control of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing in Financial Institutions Act, '' and specifically Chapter 655.50 ( 8 ) ( a ) which states, in part, the following : ( 8 ) Each financial institution shall maintain : ( a ) Full and complete records of all financial transactions, including all records required by 31 C.F.R. parts 500-598 and 1010 for a minimum of 5 calendar years.\n\nAdditionally, I sent the TD Bank Regional Branch Manager correspondence with the Email that outlined the additional Violations of Florida Statutes According to the Florida Statute Chapter 655.50 Florida Control of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing in Financial Institution Act, specifically, Statute 655.50 ( 4 ), states the following with regard to the within State Statute Requirement, to have a BSA/AML Compliance Officer that is Required to comply with the rules and regulations within Chapter 655 and all of the other Bank and Financial Institution Rules, Regulations and Statutes on both the State and Federal levels, ( emphasis added ) : ( 4 ) A financial institution shall designate and retain a BSA/AML compliance officer. The board of directors of a financial institution must ensure that the designated compliance officer is properly qualified and has sufficient authority and resources to administer an effective BSA/AML compliance program. The board is ultimately responsible for establishing the institutions BSA/AML policies and overall BSA/AML compliance. A change in the BSA/AML compliance officer must be reported to the office.\n\nIn addition, Florida Statute Chapter 655.50 Florida Control of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing in Financial Institution Act, specifically, Statute 655.50 ( 3 ) states the following Requirements for the Bank Secrecy Act ( BSA ) / Anti-money Laundering ( AML ) Compliance Officer in accordance with the additional the Bank Secrecy Act of 1970 ( BSA ), the USA Patriot Act of 2001\nand all of the other Federal and State Banking and Financial Institution Statutes, Laws, Rules and Regulations, ( emphasis added ) : ( 3 ) As used in this section, the term : ( a ) BSA/AML compliance officer means the financial institutions officer responsible for the development and implementation of the financial institutions policies and procedures for complying with the requirements of this section relating to anti-money laundering ( AML ), and the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act of 1970 ( BSA ), Pub. L. No. 91-508, as amended ; the USA Patriot Act of 2001, Pub. L. No. 107-56, as amended, and federal and state rules and regulations adopted thereunder ; and 31 C.F.R. Parts 500-598, relating to the regulations of the Office of Foreign Assets Control ( OFAC ) of the United States Department of the Treasury.\n\nTherefore, TD Bank, is Required to have a BSA/AML Compliance Officer that is fully responsible for complying with Florida Chapter 655, Title XXXVIII, Banks and Banking Rules and Regulations. And also for complying with all of the other Federal and State Banking and Financial Institution Statutes, Laws, Rules and Regulations with regard to keeping Full and Complete Records of All Financial Transactions. \n\nSo, TD Bank is also therefore out of compliance then with the Federal Banking Rules and Regulations with regard to Full and Complete Records of All Transactions and also the Federal Anti-money- Laundering laws. \n\nOnce again, I made demand to TD Bank for a fair, reasonable and equitable settlement under the Chapter 655 Title XXXVIII, Banks and Banking, Chapter 655, Financial Institutions Generally, of the 2019, Florida Statutes, under Chapter 655.50 Florida Control of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing in Financial Institutions Act, specifically 655.50 ( 3 ) ( a ), ( 4 ) and ( 8 ) ( a ), as well as Florida Statute 812 Theft, Robbery and other Related Crimes, and Chapter 825 Exploitation of Elderly Persons of Disabled Adults in the State of Florida and also pursuant to Chapter 772.11 ( 1 ) Civil Remedies for Civil Practices for FULL DEMAND of {$100000.00} x THREE ( Treble Damages ) for FULL DEMAND SETTLEMENT of {$300000.00}. \n\nToday is XX/XX/XXXX, and I have yet to have an email or letter or phone response to my XX/XX/XXXX, email to the TD Bank Regional Branch Manager. \n\nI am a XXXX single mother, with a XXXX son, and we don't even have enough money to pay our bills this month, we go each month without food, and we don't have any XXXX presents! \n\nWe are beyond devastated and traumatized that we are struggling, when we should have plenty of money and our lives should be very financially sound.","date_sent_to_company":"2019-12-17T07:26:50.000Z","issue":"Managing an account","sub_product":"Savings account","zip_code":"32926","tags":null,"has_narrative":true,"complaint_id":"3470027","timely":"Yes","company_response":"Closed with explanation","submitted_via":"Web","company":"TD BANK US HOLDING COMPANY","date_received":"2019-12-17T02:17:49.000Z","state":"FL","company_public_response":null,"sub_issue":"Banking errors"},"highlight":{"complaint_what_happened":["Today is XX/XX/XXXX, and I have yet to have an email or letter or phone response to my XX/XX/XXXX, email to the TD Bank Regional Branch Manager. \n\nI am a XXXX single mother, with a XXXX son, and we don't even have enough money to pay our bills this month, we go each month without food, and we don't have any XXXX presents! \n\nWe are beyond devastated and traumatized that we are struggling, when we should have plenty of money and our lives should be very financially sound."],"product":["Checking or savings account"],"sub_product":["Savings account"]},"sort":[11.907049,"3470027"]},{"_index":"complaint-public-v1","_id":"2713336","_score":11.734288,"_source":{"product":"Mortgage","complaint_what_happened":"Never thought Id lose my home and all our money/savingsXXXX form last 19 years all spent that put into a home would be lost having to start over at XXXX XXXX XXXX from ( 0 ), How investment bank+ mortgage servicer company can get away with these overpriced mortgage modifications un underwater homes is beyond me, This just encourages home owners to foreclose or had the keys back to the bank .. So I get to pay off an overprice house with no money or equity for major repairs, Sorry was their reply, you can apply for new loan modification so we can help you, So I did as there was no choice, then when new loan modification came it was higher monthly payment so how did that help me? \nWith that we placed the home on the market,, nothing happened over 5mths so we lowered to what we owed on the loan plus reality commissions, everyone said we were way overpriced, an offer came in almost for XXXX under what we required without reality commissions, I called the bank they said could not accept. \nAt that point, I called Ocwen, because Since we have spent our money paying off equity loans and bills on the house using our XXXX, we had no funds to make repairs .. So went into payment plan with XXXX XXXX XXXX had just purchased a new central Heat/AC system as without that we could not live there for XXXX, and now the roof was collapsing and called roofing company they said it needed a complete replacement since it at max layers of shingles, and some trees needed to be cut down as they were protruding into the house and roof causing more damage.., So at this point me and my wife had it,, called Ocwen asked for deed in Lieu, The guy on the phone told me, Sure XXXX XXXX I understand you can Get XXXX for a deed in Lieu,, I said ok lets do it, Ast least that will help pay for moving and the new Heat/AC system I just had put in the house. \nOcwen sent me the paper work and form I filled + deed sign over them out sent them back they gave us date to move out. few weeks before the deed in Lieu was to happen Id asked when will they send me the check for XXXX, Oh sorry XXXX XXXX our rep must have read you a program that ended last year, you can get up to max of XXXX. \nI said that does not help me at all nor would it fully cover the new Heat/AC system Im paying off on the property. or help at all with moving expenses .. \nFrustrated as I was I said, how can Ocwen pay the XXXX for Heat/AC system, Rep said you can still do a loan modification if you like XXXX I said NO youre only going to charge me more and will not help and you also told me you can still foreclose or demand loan payment in full .. No lets just get the deed in Lieu done, Im done with dealing with you and your company Ocwen.. \nAfter that we just sold everything we owned, and the for rest of our belongings we called packrat and got a rental out of NJ, we moved to AZ .. \nNow months later after we have done the deed in Lieu done, Im still paying off that Heating/AC system have another {$5900.00} left to pay on that, and now Im getting water and sewer bills from the township asking me to pay bills on a home I no longer own and its the mortgage service company thats using that water and heat and AC system,, is that fair? \n\nSo now that I gave the home back to the bank have issue with the bank, We signed the title over in XXXX, Now we are getting utility bills for water and sewer. So I called the township the advised me that back has not filed ownership with county clerks office and Im still responsible for taxes and property maintenance or fines as well. We did the deed in Lieu with the bank in XXXX and gave up the ownership and keys as of XX/XX/XXXX, Even called the XXXX XXXX tax assessor and he advised the bank failed to apply ownership for the property, When I called the mortgage service company OCWEN they said give us two weeks, we had some issues with deed for power of attorney, That was back inXX/XX/XXXX, now itXX/XX/XXXX.. Still house in in our names, So this leaves me and my wife responsible for a home we are no longer own after almost 4.5 mths now still in our names. the water bill even shows someone is using the water on the property and I get the bill I called yesterday day they said we should have it fixed in three more weeks having issues with title and internal departments on property, I just hung up the phone I refuse to pay any more on this property .. Also the investment bank and Ocwen say the house is worth XXXX, so the government allows then to make up prices so I can get hit with the deficiency by IRS , and they get to write it off as a loss, Already on a IRS payment plan from owing money to pay equity loans out of my 401K on the house and missed mortgage payment Ill never see a tax return ever again .. \n\nORIGINALLY PURCHASED THIS HOME FOR {$420000.00} BACK IN XXXX, AFTER XXXXAMP MOD IN XXXX NEW PRINCIPLE BALANCE REMAINDER WAS XXXX + BALLOON PAYMENT DUE IN OR ON YEAR XXXX Bank /investment firm that was bailed out in XXXX had refused to grant or reduce any of the principle loan balance nor help in reduction to current fair market value for previous home owner under HARP program paid for by taxpayers homeowner forced to give up overpriced debt. HARP program funds for homeowners principle reduction vanished at same time Bank/investment firm received bonuses. THIS HOME INCLUDES NEW ADDITIONS- ( IN GROUND POOL INSTALLED FROM SEASONAL WORLD FOR {$30000.00} PLUS KITCHEN UPGRADE {$15000.00} PLUS NEW CENTRAL HEAT/AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM {$10000.00} + ADDITIONAL UPGRADES= {$63000.00} ) Our Total underwater investment = XXXX WE lost over XXXX since XXXX with purchase+new additions and all equity loans paid in full, Remaining balance on note/mortgage was {$370000.00} with balloon payment due in XXXX, \" the property is FORECLOSED and now XXXX HOUSE NOT FOR SALE, -Note : Ocwen has taken over property XXXX We still paying off the bill for new central heat air conditioning system as there was no equity in home and unable to transfer any home system or XXXX & XXXX warranty until the reaming balance of {$4900.00} is paid on the new central system or until its paid in full for full amount of XXXX -- -- - Bank /investment firm that was bailed out in XXXX had refused to grant or reduce any of the principle loan balance nor help in reduction to current fair market value for previous home owner under HARP program paid for by taxpayers homeowner forced to give up overpriced debt. HARP program funds for homeowners principle reduction vanished at same time Bank/investment firm received bonuses. \n\nTheres no laws governing what a Home LTV must be in range with for loan modifications, Basically mortgage servicing company is allowed to give modifications leaving home owners deep underwater on property values, Leaving homeowner with no equity in case of major home repairs or room to sell the home until principle balance is paid off or when market has picked up in 10 year period if the house is still standing because no equity was available for repairs. No law states Ocwen must lower principle balance to meet acceptable current market rates and off set in equity value. \nAlso Ocwen is allowed to evaluate the property for higher than market price than its worth so they can write off that deficiency to report loss to IRS, while pervious homeowner gets hit with a gain being reported on a home worth less than what it would even sell for XXXX And also allow the pervious homeowner to get stuck with XXXX bill for AC/Heating central airs system in a house they no longer own, or for water and sewer + Utility bills they cant turn off because the deed or title is not registered with the town ship ..so pervious homeowner still paying bills on home they no longer own. \nIn addition Ocwen can apprise this property for XXXX when it might be only worth XXXX give current conditions and repairs need boggles me, another Lic appriser should be called out on this with major electrical and plumbing leaks, garage door system needed, new yard fence needed, along with {$35000.00} dollars in landscaping maintenance with trees growing into home and dead tree removal, includes leaky roof falling through needs complete replacement, costly dangerous mold issues and all aluminum wiring through the home major fire hazard, termite/rodent damage. home requires aluminum wiring insurance for fire hazards, in total home requires at least $ XXXX in repairs, how is that home worth XXXX K, and why am I still paying bills on that house? \n\n\n\nBest Regards, XXXX XXXX XXXX : XXXX Email : XXXXXXXXXXXX","date_sent_to_company":"2017-10-26T19:44:21.000Z","issue":"Closing on a mortgage","sub_product":"Other type of mortgage","zip_code":"85351","tags":null,"has_narrative":true,"complaint_id":"2713336","timely":"Yes","company_response":"Closed with explanation","submitted_via":"Web","company":"Ocwen Financial Corporation","date_received":"2017-10-26T19:22:27.000Z","state":"AZ","company_public_response":null,"sub_issue":null},"highlight":{"complaint_what_happened":["Now months later after we have done the deed in Lieu done, Im still paying off that Heating/AC system have another {$5900.00} left to pay on that, and now Im getting water and sewer bills from the township asking me to pay bills on a home I no longer own and its the mortgage service company thats using that water and heat and AC system,, is that fair?"]},"sort":[11.734288,"2713336"]},{"_index":"complaint-public-v1","_id":"4768434","_score":11.729912,"_source":{"product":"Mortgage","complaint_what_happened":"My wife had a XXXX in XXXX, and then a second XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. My income from XXXX, XXXX until I was laid off in XXXX, XXXX was my lowest annual total since the recession years of XXXX and XXXX. \n\nFlagstar Bank reached out to me to offer their forbearance plan in XXXX, XXXX, and we gladly accepted their offer to make our ends meet as covid. \n\nAfter 18 months of deferral of our payments without negative credit reporting or penalties, we aim to continue with a loan deferral option, but are being denied that option and asked to consider a balloon payment or payments three times our normal amount for 6 or so months to come current, or consider a 40-year term loan modification. We wish for loan deferral, and have mentioned such consistently for the entire 18-month period, since my first conversation with Flagstar representatives and now repeated in nearly two dozen conversations since. \n\nWe had paid 7.5 years on our 30-year mortgage, starting on XX/XX/XXXX. As a former mortgage loan agent, I am acutely aware that as of our XXXX, XXXX payment, {$810.00} of that month 's {$1900.00} payment lowered our principal balance, more than 42 % of our payment. We consider this a forced savings toward our retirement, something we were literally \" banking on '' prior to this covid-induced situation, and a lesson I am teaching my children regarding financing of homes, as that equity may well be a large portion of their inheritance. \n\nWith over {$500000.00} in equity in this property and at ages XXXX and XXXX we refuse to consider a refinance or to modify our loan, which would revert us back to nearly every payment going to bank interest for the next several years. The bank 's request that we consider a loan modification to a 40-year term is appreciated, but viewed as an unacceptable option. I declined the offer at the moment the numbers were shared with me verbally, before they even printed the offer to send it to me in writing. \n\nWork and Income during Covid My wife returned to work in XXXX, XXXX, was furloughed 2 weeks later, returned to work in mid-XXXX, and then was laid-off after 24 years with her employer in XXXX. My first payment off of the program is to commence on XX/XX/XXXX, and i have requested we be set up to do so, but the bank is offering me either 6 months of payments at over {$7.00} a month to catch up, or to make one lump sum payment of {$36000.00}. Because we'd only been married for 3 years and he was not the father of my XXXX daughters, he was not required to pay alimony or child support. I was receiving child support from my children 's father, but it was not enough to maintain a mortgage and all other necessary living expenses. I had to choose whether to house and feed my children, or pay credit cards or other debts, and obviously my children come first. The representative at XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX demanded that I pay the full past due amount immediately. I explained to the representative that it was impossible to pay the {$2100.00} balance in full but that I would absolutely make payments on the debt. The representative suggested a monthly payment amount ( I can't remember the exact amount ), but it was in the hundreds of dollars and I knew that I could not manage that much each month. The merchant, XXXX, operates prediction markets at XXXX The transactions are for deposits in an online trading account. On my credit card statement, these transactions post as purchases and not cash advances. Shouldnt transactions like this be considered cash advances? I have seen other online ( non ATM ) transactions processed as cash advances. Any time money is loaded to an online account, it is usually treated as a cash advance. If these transactions posted as cash advances and due to the lower cash advance limit ( that is a portion of the full credit line ), it would not have been possible for me to deposit as much as I did on this site. My dispute involves 28 transactions from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXXand three transactions in XX/XX/XXXX. First they said the transactions from XX/XX/XXXXto XX/XX/XXXX are too old to be disputed and the XX/XX/XXXX transactions were the only chargebacks completed. Then they said they will consider the 28 transactions ( since there are exceptions to the dispute time limits ) for dispute proceedings, but then a short time later they said vie phone call the transactions cant be disputed because the funds were loaded to an investment account and are older than 60 days while the letter I received a few days later ( only referenced the transactions from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX ) stated the dispute is denied because when funds are loaded to an investment account, there are no dispute rights ( nothing about a time limit ). If this is the case, then why were the chargebacks completed for the XX/XX/XXXX transactions? I think the XX/XX/XXXX chargebacks were easy because they were within the normal time limit for chargebacks. I believe chargebacks older than 120 days require an extra step/process and they dont want to process them due to the extra work, which is the reason for receiving different excuses for the dispute being denied. Most online trading sites do not accept credit card deposits or have low limits in how much one person can deposit by credit card. The only way to fund most online trading accounts are by ACH bank transfers or wire transfers. My main reason for my dispute is not about losing money, but about the amounts of funds they allowed me to deposit. While I should not have deposited these amounts, XXXX should not have accepted unlimited deposits and/or Barclay should not have approved all of the transactions. I noticed recently the merchant violated their own terms of service by accepting too much money. These terms are available at XXXXHome/TermsAndConditions that state, a limit on investment by any single participant in any particular contract [ of ] {$850.00} and You must not deposit more than the permitted amount with the XXXX XXXX. My wife and I maintain joint accounts. For the first 29 years we were treated well, never had any complaints, had had a mortgage from them, had a personal loan from them, and we've maintained 2 Citi credit cards. ( We are also Citi shareholders, reflecting our ( prior ) positive opinion. ) Starting XX/XX/XXXX, we started getting KYC questions for more information about our accounts. This we responded to and were told all was in order. We received additional requests over the next 12 months, each time asking basically the same questions, mainly : what is our source of income, and how did we finance our investments? \n\nEach time we are asked, we receive a threatening letter that if we fail to provide the information within a 3 week or so window, our accounts will be blocked. Let me repeat though, we get the requests for the same information each time. ( It should be noted, all this information can be reconstructed by reviewing our account history, details of which Citi has! ) We respond each time immediately and are told all is ok, and that if further information is required Citi will contact us to request it. \n\nThe latest request that has initiated this CFPB complaint, was dated XX/XX/XXXX. We responded accordingly on XX/XX/XXXX, at XXXX, and were told all would be ok. If Citi needed further information, they would immediately contact us. The threatening letter this time stated that if we failed to respond by XX/XX/XXXX, our accounts would be blocked and it could take up to 2 business days to have our accounts restored. \n\nBetween XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX our accounts were \" blocked ''. This means that we have zero access to our money in either our checking or savings accounts, and Citi prevents any incoming or outgoing payments to be made. We received NO forewarning, and in fact had not been informed of any problems since the XX/XX/XXXX telephone conversation. \n\nWe immediately contacted Citi the morning of XX/XX/XXXX and were told more information was required which we again provided, both myself and my wife, the same as provided on XX/XX/XXXX. It should be noted that we had payments in and out due that day, and important bills to be paid over the coming 2 days. We were told the issue would be resolved as expeditiously as possible, but could take up to 3 or 4 business days, this despite their written policy of it taking 2 business days. \n\nWe then followed up the next day, XX/XX/XXXX, as nothing had been corrected and we had already defaulted on a payment that should have been sent out on the XXXX, and would incur late fees each day on other payments that we should have made the next 2 days ( including one of our Citi credit cards ). The payment we defaulted on was an investment purchase, so we additionally were missing out on investment income. We followed up each day for the next week, following as many routes as possible, but nothing changed, our accounts remained blocked. Citi told us each time our accounts would be fixed imminently, threated as 'priority ', and that Citi would let us know if further information was required. We received no request for further information. \n\nToday, XX/XX/XXXX, a week after this started, our accounts still blocked, we again called the KYC desk, and this time were told that no information had yet been processed. We again gave the same information as on XX/XX/XXXX and were told it could take another 3 or 4 business days. Without access to our money we had incurred a number of late fees, been unable to make any payments, and for our Citi credit card, are being charged a penal interest rate. \n\nWe had concluded that Citi must regard us as a huge risk for whatever reason, and by doing so are putting our credit/FICO history in jeopardy. Plus, of course, Citi are generating fees for themselves. This is a case of complete incompetence or some kind of scam for fee income. No matter how many times we ask, we get no response as to why we are being treated this way. Citi 's customer service is non existent over the telephone, email, messages, etc., and unfortunately there are no Citi branches in the state where we live. \n\nWe plan to go to our Citi branch where our account is maintained in XXXX today, an hour and a half journey each way, to see a manager and hopefully get something done.","date_sent_to_company":"2018-09-07T07:58:45.000Z","issue":"Managing an account","sub_product":"Checking account","zip_code":"085XX","tags":null,"has_narrative":true,"complaint_id":"3011556","timely":"Yes","company_response":"Closed with explanation","submitted_via":"Web","company":"CITIBANK, N.A.","date_received":"2018-09-07T02:37:08.000Z","state":"NJ","company_public_response":"Company has responded to the consumer and the CFPB and chooses not to provide a public response","sub_issue":"Banking errors"},"highlight":{"complaint_what_happened":["We then followed up the next day, XX/XX/XXXX, as nothing had been corrected and we had already defaulted on a payment that should have been sent out on the XXXX, and would incur late fees each day on other payments that we should have made the next 2 days ( including one of our Citi credit cards ).
