I feel they should have not decreased the credit line to a point it would actually hurt my future credit score this is completely reckless on their part and should be corrected immediately to a credit limit that wont hurt my score. Why are they punishing me for a credit check when I have never been late in over twenty years except for last month when I did not realize I did not pay my bill I called and made payment immediately when problem was discovered. They assured me it would not be a problem and look a couple days later I received a letter decreasing my credit limit. Again I don't have a problem with decrease however with the amount they did with out caring about the consequences of their action would ruin my credit. Citibank should be held responsible for this issue they created. Why should I pay my bills on time to keep my perfect score? I spoke to Citibank on the phone to no avail they didn't understand the the consequence of their action. This issue is not about my credit limit it's about principals how Citibank can ruin a person 's credit be a stroke of a keyboard and get away with it.
