( one I already paid for ) ... Calling back in was assured there would not be a problem, My concern a year later was in the app it now said payoff was extended on the lease spent hours and days on phone to fix the wrong attached phone. to get the second line turned off that I had to pay while it was getting resolved. When it was time to the lease to get over I went to the store and sat for hours and they tried to look up the contract that said I could pay fair market value and I was informed that the contract was under the ssn of my ex husband and did not apply. They did not know what fair market value was for my phone and I would have to pay {$200.00} to cancel my contract and pay for the phone in full or to wait until the system says I can purchase the phone and then get credit for the months I had paid on the lease past the time allowed by contract that was not mine. mean while the phone was having problems with charging so I went to the company store to have it looked at. they did not do a loaner phone or back up because they said it will only be a few hours ... .They then said it was a bigger problem and sent it off to be worked on and activated my old phone. i was informed while working on the phone that they lost everything I had on the phone and needed to replace the phone with what they said would be a upgrade. they sent a XXXX XXXX that had been recalled and that will not even be allowed on a plane, it was over heating and shutting off on its own.I called about both problems and they took the payment to end the lease but did not reimburse me for the payment made as I was told would happen. I took off work and sat all day at the company store again to get it fixed. they replaced the battery and told me it would be fine ... .I walked out of store as it was closing and within 15 minutes it over heated and turned off again ... unable to miss any more work and sit all day aging I call the insurance that I had been also paying on the phone how also told me I had to go to store there is no other way. I I am in XXXX XXXX and all my signs and cards, contacts and registration was to that phone number. I called XXXX and explained I had a XXXX on my XXXX from the phone the sold me and I had to where gloves to hold it on a air conditioner to cool it on speaker phone to make to call to them. They would not fix the problem. I was forced to give up my number and end service with XXXX. I have a XXXX on my XXXX and a phone that is not operable. They own me and XXXX ***does not have a contract** on the phone and account in my name and ssn. I am out thousands due to all the problems and missed calls with XXXX. All the records lost and personal information/documents/photos/numbers. They removed the collection for one creditor and then gave it to Diversified Consultant that has reported it on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/2019. After waiting for the transactions to leave the pending stage, I went back to my local branch and they filed a claim on my behalf, the next day I heard back from the merchant who said the charges were unauthorized, but couldnt refund my money due to me cancelling the card, and I received a provisional credit from TD Bank for the aforementioned amount while their claims department looked over my case. The provisional credit went into my account on XX/XX/XXXX and I was told by the teller at TD Bank that I should have no problems getting my money back. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I received multiple pieces of mail stating that the claims department found that I authorized the transactions, and will be taking back the provisional credit on XX/XX/XXXX. We never got the Merchandise and I found out when I received my Bank Statement from Synchrony Bank he charged and maxed out the CARD. WHEN WE CALLED THE MANAGER TOLD US HE ORDERED THE MERCHANDISE ALL HE NEEDED WAS A SSN AND HE HAD THAT. EVEN BREAKING HIS OWN POLICY NO MERCHANDISE BE ORDERED UNTIL THEY GOT A PAYMENT OF {$25.00} WHICH THEY NEVER GOT. We went to the store again, and were finally able to speak to the store manager which was not the Person we were dealing with, this time it was a women and the first time it was a male. He claimed he was the Manger to turn out he wasn't, Well the Manager said she will work with us and get us the merchandise however all the sudden the merchandise was over 1 k more than what they charged my card with. So we ask if they price matched and we got told they did. We found 3 different sellers with the same merchandise over half cheaper what they wanted from us. All the sudden they did not price matched no more. Then we ask to refund the money on the credit card since we NEVER got any Merchandise and the Manager tried to see if we would like something else for the Amount which was charged. Well we did not like anything so she finally agreed to credit the money back to the Credit card. This has not happen to this day. I get charged late fees for a credit card I never used. And I have no Couch or table to show for. We addressed this twice to XXXX  and they claim the problem has been solved. IT has not. After XXXX  it, I found that they require you to purchase this basic account protection. \n\nI never asked for Equifax to collect and store my credit information, but they do, and now I have to deal with protecting that information because it seems like every couple years Equifax gets hacked and leaks information. I do my best to make sure that my information is protected across all online services and accounts. Even basic non-financial or identity services I use have free MFA - it's best practice and prevents basic authentication attacks. The fact that Equifax does not offer MFA to protect information they collect without consent is an insult to data protection. They created a problem and are now charging for a service to protect it. \n\nThey should be forced to offer free MFA for all the people they store information on. Again, I didn't ask them to collect and store this information, so if they are going to, they should at minimum be required to follow best practices on basic data protection. I received notice that the account was suspended due to non-payment, and XXXX went on record to say that they would have me on store video that I came in to pay the bill and the gentleman could recall me and that the registers were acting up that day. \n\nSo they signed me up for a credit card to give me a small discount, after that I never received a credit card only a bill for a late fee, so I went into the store personally so it wouldn't affect my credit score, and the payment seem to go through at the register at the moment but I can't find it on my bank statements. And now the bank responsible for the credit of {$300.00}, has suspended the account and hit me with a hard foul on my credit score that will be there for 2 years. \n\nI called the company and spoke to the employee number XXXX named XXXX, where he gave me a PO box to submit a complaint and then I had him close out the account. \n\nI suspect this company of fraud. \nI worked very hard to try and keep my credit score, after all I have been trying for years to make XXXX. Nearing the age of XXXX and not being able to get out a home loan because my credit score, and so I have the mentality, but this store had fraudulently and completely blindsided me and decreased my credit score by XXXX on one of three of the credit bureaus. He turned it on to make sure it was working and asked if we have any personal data there, I said no. Then he took the PC and did the return and we got a return receipt. Then we have got the refund our Best Buy credit card. Also, we paid the credit card balance as we did order also a hard drive with the PC in the same online order but this we kept as there was nothing wrong with it. \nThe Hard Drive was pickup at the store ( No problem was with that ) The PC was delivery to home ( This is the one we return ) {$1600.00} All was okay till after few weeks we saw new charges with the same amount of {$1600.00} to our card with no idea from where this charge came from and with no authorization from us. \nWe contact Best Buy customer support to ask why this charge is in our account. They said we dont know as we see no problem here and advised to call the bank to cancel the changes as might be posted by mistake. \nWe contacted Citi Bank and they asked us contact Best Buy and we have been between them going back and forth. We submitted a dispute for the charges as we were advised by Best Buy since this charge was a mistake. \nWe did and the bank said we must wait from 4 to 6 weeks to get back to us by letter in the mail. We waited and got letter that we are responsible of the payment based on the evidence came with letter, and this evidence was just our online order invoice and delivery confirmation, nothing else about the new charges. \nWe contact Citi Bank again and asked them how did this happen as we already returned this PC and we have a return receipt with us and we received refund for it already. They did not send us anything to clear the new charge. \nThey said please fax or mail us the return receipt in order to reopen the dispute and they was so sorry about it ; however I did fax it and they reopen the dispute and asked us to wait another 4 to 6 weeks. \nWe were so upset me and my husband but we had no choice and we was thinking this is the end of this issue. \nHowever, after waiting for a long time again they came back with same letter saying that we are responsible of the payment. We called to bank again as they didnt send us why this happen again. \nThey however said on the phone that when Best Buy opened the box, the PC you returned was not the same as the one ordered, ( even they didnt mention this in the letter they sent us at all and we had to call them to know that ). This is the reason we returned the computer in the first place as it was not the right one. \nSo we said yes therefore we return the PC because its not the same, its even showing on the return receipt under the reason of return that its not the one we wanted. \nSo Best Buy took the PC from us and still charged us, how you even allow that? \nThey said they would reopen the dispute and we had to wait for another 4 to 6 weeks. We said no we dont want wait again they said you have no choice however you can go to the store and talk with them to do a refund. We said we did already went before and the agent there didnt see the order we are charged for and he can not do anything, then the bank agent said go and talk to someone of the managers. \nSo we went again to the store and asked to speak to a manager. We spoke with Mr. XXXX XXXX who did really good job trying to find out why this happen and the good thing is the agent we did the return with was there and XXXX asked him about the return. The Agent said yes, they did the return and there was no problem with it or anything unusual and then XXXX called the bank from the store phone to ask why I have got this charge and he inform them that I did return this order I got charge for, also he asked if they can get this done now and end this hassle, as the customer is very frustrated here now and for a long time already. The bank said no we must wait again, so he asked : Why did the bank asked the customer to go back to the store and you know we have nothing to do with that payment? The bank has no answer for that. \nXXXX was very sorry for us and said from his side he wishes if he can help or make a refund, but he can not see the order from his end to make any refund or cancel payment. \nHe also advise us to avoid buying open box online and it is better to get it at the store, as it did happen many times this mistakes, as its good if we see the product in the store and try it before we buy it especially when it comes to open box items. \nHe also gives us a return copy of the receipt and wrote on it that he sees no problem with the return, as I have also scan and will send with this letter, please see attached. \nSo now we are waiting again, and we must wait for another 4 to 6 weeks. \nSo our complaint here is against Best Buy and Citibank As for Best Buy : They did charge our credit card with no authorization from us and even never contact us to make clear with us anything before charging us for an order we already return at the store. \nAs for Citibank : The company that manages the credit card, they should have acting against whomever charge dour card with no authorization from the card holder, and in fact they did not and even was helping to hide the mistake that Best Buy have committed against us. I did so because we had not initially planned to purchase anything. Upon review I discovered that XXXX had overcharged us on both the sofa and loveseat we had just purchased. They informed my I have perfect credit payments, excellent long time usage, but the only negative issue is this XXXX account showing 176 % of my credit ratio. I t is bringing my fico down to under XXXX and will until I get that 176 % ratio changed. They informed me I could pursue this incident, which I was unaware of since I have never had any problems before and felt XXXX XXXX had the final decision and I had to accept it. I could not understand how this could even happen as if I never wanted an increase on my card. In the past if I wanted any increase on a credit card, I could request it, and be approved. The Manager said that the guy returned the machinery and did not used it and that's were the store issue a store credit for {$430.00}. I told the manager that I didn't authorize that transaction. Plus, returning the machine proves he didn't do any job so how is it that I got charged for something i didn't authorize? And how is it, that he was able to rent by just giving a credit card number that didn't belong to him. The card has been in my possession so that means he used my unauthorized number. The store aloud it. It makes me think they are used to doing this perhaps. The manager said that the guy used the store credits for different tools on different days. If you look at the receipts attached, the guy used the store credit for a XXXX XXXX sounds like a shampoo carpet and other tools. After XXXX XXXX gave me those receipts I called citibank and the supervisor told me not to worried because citibank had issued a credit and the case was closed. Today when I looked @ my statement I see a charged for {$680.00} that citibank had reversed. I had paid for the whole balanced today so I don't get fees charged. I called today and I talk to Supervisor XXXX ( XXXX XXXX, from Citibank dispute. XXXX said not to worried that he will appeal the case. I said to him that not only they charged me an authorized charged but also they charged me more than it was supposed too. Regardless, we moved forward and paid the restocking fee. He also notified us we had to pay for the hoses as they could not take them back. I refused and opened a case with conns where they told me it would be investigated. No one ever called me about the case, but they had no problem continuing to call me about a fictitious balance. Months continued to go by with no resolution to this case. We have several phone calls recorded where conns employees admit that in our account notes our account should be closed long ago. \n\nSkip ahead months later and Im now being harassed by collection agencies saying we owe over {$1400.00} to conns. I started a 3 way call with both of these companies which I have on record and will display as evidence as needed. The conns employee admitted once again that this account was supposed to be closed and the offline team will need to take a look. Again, we have this on recording too. \n\nI never got the phone call from the offline team, but I finally harassed them on their web chat for someone to look into my account further. They were very rude to me however I finally got them to admit that my account is supposedly not closed because of these 2 XXXX hoses that we were told could not be returned and were being paid for as part of the return. As a result of this outcome I decided I was not going to do business with conns and elected to return them and buy a washer/dryer elsewhere. Unfortunately this was only the beginning of my nightmare. \n\nI moved forward with the return and had conns pick everything up from my house. We went to the store here in XXXX and spoke with the manager, who gave us a strong attitude about the fact we were returning these appliances. Regardless, we moved forward and paid the restocking fee. He also notified us we had to pay for the hoses as they could not take them back. We accepted and paid a return fee. \n\nMonths later I started suddenly getting harassing phone calls from XXXX  picking up the phone and directly getting to the point telling us we owe a balance of over {$1000.00} and asked me how Id like to pay. I refused and opened a case with XXXX  where they told me it would be investigated. No one ever called me about the case, but they had no problem continuing to call me about a fictitious balance. Months continued to go by with no resolution to this case. We have several phone calls recorded where conns employees admit that in our account notes our account should be closed long ago. \n\nSkip ahead months later and Im now being harassed by collection agencies saying we owe over {$1400.00} to XXXX. I started a 3 way call with both of these companies which I have on record and will display as evidence as needed. The XXXX  employee admitted once again that this account was supposed to be closed and the offline team will need to take a look. Again, we have this on recording too. \n\nI never got the phone call from the offline team, but I finally harassed them on their web chat for someone to look into my account further. They were very rude to me however I finally got them to admit that my account is supposedly not closed because of these 2 XXXX hoses that we were told could not be returned and were being paid for as part of the return. This is absolutely ridiculous as these were {$20.00} hoses and they should have been clear that this was the issue from day 1. The balance has been over {$1000.00} and increasing as they continue to charge me late fees. This company must be stopped, as they are thieves and conn artists ruining my credit and my ability to get a house for my family. A BoA rep also thought it was strange they kept charging me fees for years on a inactive account which to my knowledge was closed. \nI do not feel responsible for these fees and now they tell me they cant close the acct. \nI actually had {$50.00} positive balance. The bill never went through even though it was pending. \nThey never sent me anything that they were gon na start maintenance fees and I never thought the acct was still open. \n\nNow Ive called many times and spoke to a few different people and they said they would look into it and help and get back to me and I never hear from them. The emails stopped so I thought maybe they fixed it ... I just got a new email my acct is ready to view ... I called and I get the run around. I go from one dept to another ... I spent approximately 100 hours or more on the phone and writing letters and travelling to the XXXX store. \n\nBackground : On or about XX/XX/XXXX this year, I sold my house located at XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CA XXXX, where I have lived since XXXX, at which time I returned all my cable boxes and other equipment back to the XXXX XXXX store. And the XXXX account was closed. Unfortunately, I later found that XXXX did not record it until XX/XX/XXXX. In the meantime, it looked as if I was still owing the XXXX equipment. I received a few invoices from XXXX, but I told them that I already returned all the equipment. In the end, the case was turned over to Collection Agent, Berlin Wheeler. By that time, it did not matter how I told the collection agent about the returned equipment. They were unwilling to listen to me, even after I sent a copy of the receipt. Toward the end of XXXX, I found that my XXXX score tumbled down suddenly to below 700 when normally, my scores hovered around 810 to 840. \n\nOn or about XX/XX/XXXX, I went back to the XXXX  store in XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CA XXXX to dispute the unpaid equipment charges, {$240.00}. They looked into the matter and apologized me and reissued another receipt confirming that everything will be back to normal within the next 2-3 days. Since then, my credit reports show that there is no unpaid balance. It was better than showing the balance of {$0.00} instead of {$240.00}. However, this is where the problem lies. \n\nCredit Score Issue What I did not know is that reissuing a receipt is one thing, but posting the transaction themselves is quite another. In fact, I now find that for whatever reasons the transaction was only postdated on XX/XX/XXXX, although all the equipment was returned in XXXX. So, the impression is that I had an unpaid balance of {$240.00}, which was subject to a collection. This is clearly the administrative oversight on the part of XXXX XXXX. If all the equipment was returned in XXXX when my account was closed, why was any collection account ever created, as long as the transactions were properly and timely recorded? \n\nAt this time, my credit report shows that there was indeed a collection account but now, it has been paid off showing a XXXX balance. For the last several years, my XXXX scores hovered around 810 to 840 as reported in all three credit rating agencies. However, when any collection account appears on my personal credit, regardless of whether the balance is XXXX or significantly large, XXXX score drops significantly -- in my case, it went down more than 120 points. As a matter of fact, my score went down to as low as XXXX from XXXX. \n\nI went back to the XXXX store again on XX/XX/XXXX. I was given a letter from Ms. XXXX, the XXXX store 's manager. \n\nHer letter states the following : 1. All equipment was indeed returned to XXXX XXXX in XXXX when my account was closed. \n2. However, the transactions were only recorded on XX/XX/XXXX. \n\nPlease read the letter that I have attached to this letter, and feel free to contact Ms. XXXX, the XXXX XXXX Store manager. You will find her contact information in her letter. \nMy complaints are against the following two organizations : 1. XXXX XXXX corporate office refuses to advise its collection company, Berlin Wheeler, so that Berlin Wheeler can notify XXXX and XXXX of the fact that the collection account showing on my personal credit report was inadvertently or erroneously created and thus, all collection records must be removed from my personal credit reports. \n2. I also complain Berlin Wheeler of the fact that it still refuses to correct its original reports to the credit rating agencies, despite the fact that I have sent emails and called with evidences and all other supporting documents. \n\nSummary : As stated, the equipment in question was returned and my account was closed back in XXXX.
