I was told that they needed a copy of the death certificate and that if no other person was listed on the loan the principal balance would be forgiven. Greensky representative then stated that XXXX to XXXX hours was needed to process the request. I emailed a copy of the death certificate to Greensky immediately after the phone conversation ended. \n\nXX/XX/XXXX : I called Greensky to verify that they received the certificate. I was told they had not, so I emailed the certificate from my stepmother 's phone. \n\nXX/XX/XXXX : I called Greensky to verify if they received the certificate. I was told they had and to give them XXXX to XXXX hours to process. \n\nXX/XX/XXXX : Not receiving a response, I called Greensky. I was told that the certificate was illegible and I needed to resend it. I emailed the certificate and then called Greensky back to verify if they received it. While on hold I emailed the certificate XXXX more times. I was told they had a copy that would work and the Greensky representative indicated that he would try and have a letter, closing the loan, to me by the end of the next day. I received a letter later that day indicating the loan had been closed but that the loan balance owed was {$35000.00}. I immediately called Greensky to inquire why the loan was not forgiven as I was previously told. I was told that no one is responsible for the loan unless the estate goes to probate. I inquired as to why the {$35000.00} balance when the loan amount was {$29000.00}. I was told the balance included the interest due on the loan. After further discussion and disagreeing on the balance, I was told that original loan terms were no longer an option because the loan had been closed and that deceased accounts go to settlement. I told the representative that this was not explained to me before and I asked to speak to a manager. After being on hold for an extended period of time I was told no one was available and that a manager would call me by the end of the business day. No one returned my phone call.\n\nI am filing this complaint because I feel that Greensky is conducting unfair and deceptive collection practices by closing the loan and adding interest prior to the XX/XX/XXXX, due date. Greensky has dragged out the process resulting in amplified emotions resulting in me feeling helpless and despondent without resolution. In addition, Greensky has given me different answers to the same question in order to position themselves into an arrangement that provides Greensky the greatest financial gain. Monday, XX/XX/XXXX, I got another docusign text and I did see a lot of amounts on the docusign but it was not presented as what would become a charge of XXXX but instead it had an amount of $ XXXX with strikes through window pricings and an amount of {$10000.00} with what looked to be a discount to the final promotional cost of {$7300.00} part way through the scroll. I did sign this one and the link from my phone to the document ended as soon as I did sign it. but was never told that was or was not with the discounted percentage off. I was also never given a copy of the original contract which I still can not find in my account and have never seen in full. I was verbally assured by the sales man that I would not be charged until the installation occured which was not accurate. It sat charged on my open credit for more than two months prior to the install. This negatively affected my credit rating by more than 30 points! \n\nXX/XX/XXXX XXXX texted to set up appointment for measurement. XX/XX/XXXX I got an email confirming my order had been sent. \n\nI did make two payments and when I went on to pay, I saw finance charges posted to my account IN ADDITION TO the {$8900.00} they added another {$1800.00} purchase on my XXXX statement for the install date of XX/XX/XXXX and I called XXXX who was just as confused as I was. She later called me back and said that was the remainder of my purchase. I was so utterly discusted with myself for trusting these people. I told her I never got any documentation on what I was getting charged for. I was under the impression the install was included in the cost of the door. She had no explainaition and could not account for the charge except to say that it was in the original contract which yes, I signed, but still have never seen completely. I have paid {$7000.00} to date. I did write a letter asking for the finance charges to be taken off. They replied that I had not been charged, but I see three finance charge transactions that say POSTED. I do not feel they are being honest with me. Yes, the door is awesome but for this price, it had better be. I want a copy of the original pricing info. I want the finance charges taken off. I want in writing the company policy for disclosure about when the actual charge is supposed to go onto a customers account. XXXX & XXXX came to my house a day or XXXX later to walk the property, tell me what they could do for me which was getting everything drawn by an XXXX, plans submitted to the city with APPROVAL, the construction completed, renters in place. My guarantee was no payments were to be made by me to any institution until I had a renter who had already paid first and last month XXXX was in the contract.Within the next day or XXXX ( this was within XXXX week of ever meeting anybody through XXXX ) they had XXXX XXXX me up to XXXX XXXX someplace in the valley.Had me apply for so many loans I didn't even know what was happening.They lied, told me this was all just to see if my credit was good, if I could actually get any loans.That I was not actually applying for anything at that moment. The unsigned makeshift contract they gave me on the first day stated '' for qualification purposes only '' on everything .they never told me any loans were being applied for.They lied about everything and electronically forged my signature on everything.I was there about XXXX hours. there was a girl named XXXX working on a laptop she submitted all these applications to all these lenders.Many times people came to my house, got on my XXXX to fraudulently sign my name or apply or I don't know what they were doing on my computer actually.Then a few days later XXXX drove me back up there to fill more things out for them to commit more fraud electronically sign my name on more lies that things have been completed. The project was just in discussion stage & they lied, said it had been completed here within 10 days of me even meeting these people. There must've been XXXX XXXX of these loans I am finding out still now. Luckily I got denied by some I'm just now finding out or they would've defrauded me out of even more money. She and other people that were in the office then told her to do it, helped her etc. XXXX guy named XXXX said he was the owner.He made everybody do whatever he said is what I found out later. electrically signed my signature on all these applications to get all of this money which I learned later was a big scam because the money went directly to XXXX lied, electronically signed my signature which is stealing my identity that these things had been completed literally on the first day I ever went there. nobody had been to my XXXX work. no work had been started I didn't even know who these people were what the names of the lenders were. Nobody showed up to my house nothing got started until XXXX XXXX many workers would show up for a couple days at a time I didn't know who they were. I asked for business cards nobody could answer any questions.I kept calling XXXX office to ask them nobody would answer anything. I kept getting told whoever I was asking for was in XXXX. Seems like 90 % of the people or more that worked there XXXX in XXXX and apparently kept going back there laundering I am guessing they were all this money from the banks probably laundering it across federal lines in XXXX. They were tearing apart my roof making a mess of my house causing damage everywhere & then just disappear without things being finished.completely ABANDON the job & then somebody would show up out of nowhere a couple months later for a day or XXXX then disappear again completely abandon the job again.I kept calling XXXX and asking what was going on. In the meantime anybody that I spoke to with XXXX said if anybody calls you you make sure you tell them the work is done, you have to lie to them so we can work on your house.this was in the very beginning when I first met them. Was told something wasn't right why weren't they showing up to do the work why did they keep abandoning the job.
