XXXX began issuing, and the credit reporting companies began publishing, negative consumer reports reflecting this fact. \n\nThe FCRA allows for the publishing of consumer reports for 7 years. After 7 years, the consumer reports must be removed and no new consumer reports regarding the account may be published. In this case, consumer repeated was required to cease XX/XX/XXXX. \n\nDespite being informed of this requirement and being asked to stop, XXXX has continued to issue illegal consumer reports on a monthly basis, most recently in XXXX of XXXX. \n\nI submitted complaints regarding these illegal consumer reports to XXXX, Transunion, and XXXX. XXXX performed an investigation and resolved the issue and removed the illegal consumer reports. XXXX and Transunion failed to resolve the issue. When I contacted XXXX  and Transunion, phone representatives admitted that there had been no legitimate investigation. The phone representatives admitted that their entire investigation had consisted of asking XXXX if the information was correct and then accepting their answer without any analysis. The XXXX phone representative even admitted that he had not, and that he could not, view the documentation that I provided with my complaint. \n\nWhen speaking with XXXX and Transunion regarding their failure to properly investigate the complaint or remove the illegal consumer reports, the phone representatives refused to correct the error and instead said that the only recourse was submitting another complaint in the hopes that the next person to perform the investigation would actually do it. \n\nThere have now been three mock investigations performed by XXXX and Transunion. To date, both credit reporting companies have refused to properly investigate the complaint or remove the illegal consumer reports. Every time I contact them, I am recited lines from the same script by phone representatives that do not understand the complaint. IN THIS INSTANCE DSK Law properly addressed and mailed to TransUnion the dispute and inquiry on my behalf. TransUnion has received the dispute and inquiry from XXXX XXXX. Thus, TransUnion is purposefully refusing to investigate and respond back to XXXX XXXX with the results of the investigation. Furthermore, TransUnion is continuing to allow information that has been identified as information being reported as a result of identity theft ( i.e. XXXX XXXX XXXX ; XXXX XXXX XXXX ; XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX ; XXXX XXXX XXXX and allowing outdated information to remain on my report XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX being remaining more than seven ( 7 ) years on my report ). XXXX XXXX is reporting information it knows to be false regarding one of its affiliates purporting that I defaulted on a credit card. On a card that I had there was a payment made on a date that is less than 30 days from the previous payment. Typically in order for a person to default the person must at minimum be at least XXXX to 180 days behind. I was not 90 or 180 days behind. Please investigate this matter as XXXX is attempting to circumvent the legal process and avoid their statutory duty pursuant to the FCRA to investigate and respond accordingly to the findings. After multiple attempts, TransUnion is absolutely refusing to follow the law and perform an investigation as required under the FCRA. \n\nTransUnion did provide myself a copy of my credit report. \n\nNote : I did not include a copy of my drivers license or the bill I provided to TransUnion on each available time. \n\nAt this time I am requesting a full investigation by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to why TransUnion refuses to comply with the law.
