When I called to complain about this false statement and to demand proof of their statements, the bank rep refused to produce any evidence. The rep falsely claimed that I paid by credit card with an incorrect account. This assertion was false. Accordingly, I offered to produce my cancelled checks. They continued to assert that I had paid by credit card. I demanded to know if they intended to report this false statement to the Credit Bureau. They admitted I had not paid late and therefore could not report these false assertions to the credit bureau. In addition, this bank called numerous times falsely accusing me of having paid with an incorrect credit card account. We closed the account. Although I ultimately will not suffer harm from Synchrony 's false statements, I believe this bank should be investigated for false and fraudulent conduct.
