This statute mandates that a debt collector, upon receiving a consumers request, must provide sufficient documentation to substantiate the validity of the debt before continuing any collection efforts. Despite my request, NCB Management Services , Inc. has failed to supply any documentation validating the debt.\n\nImproper Reporting to Credit Bureaus Contrary to FDCPA requirements, NCB Management Services , Inc. reported this unverified debt to credit reporting agencies, negatively impacting my credit score. Reporting a debt without validation is a clear violation of these provisions. \n\nLack of Authorization from the Original Creditor Moreover, it appears that NCB Management Services , Inc. did not provide documentation from the original creditor authorizing the transfer or assignment of the debt to a third party. On XX/XX/year>, I submitted a formal complaint to Experian, requesting the method of verification for the public records reported on my consumer credit file. This request was made in accordance with my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), specifically under Section 611 ( a ) ( 7 ), which mandates that a consumer reporting agency must provide a description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information, including the business name and address of any furnisher of information contacted in connection with such information. \n\nExperian acknowledged receipt of my request and indicated that the investigation would be completed within 30 days. However, despite this assurance, I have not received any further updates from Experian regarding the status or outcome of their investigation. This lack of response is in direct violation of the consumer protection provisions outlined in the FCRA. \n\nI am deeply concerned about Experian 's apparent disregard for the obligations imposed upon them by federal law. This negligence not only affects my credit standing but also undermines the trust that consumers should be able to place in credit reporting agencies. Therefore, I am requesting that the CFPB take appropriate actions within its power to address this issue. Specifically, I urge the CFPB to : 1. Investigate Experian 's failure to provide the method of verification within the legally mandated timeframe. \n2. Sanction Experian for their non-compliance with the FCRA, thereby reinforcing the importance of consumer protections. \n3. Ensure that Experian provides the requested information without further delay. \n4. Mandate that Experian immediately remove the disputed public records from my consumer credit file due to their failure to provide the method of verification as required by law. \n\nI have attached copies of my ID and a letter from the US Bankruptcy court stating they do not report, verify, or validate public records on consumer credit reports. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated, as it is imperative that consumers ' rights are upheld and that credit reporting agencies are held accountable for their obligations. \n\nThank you for your assistance in this matter.
