Unfortunately, I saw the exact same error while getting Transunion report. The other XXXX bureau reports are working fine without any challenges. I immediately contacted Transunion customer service ( XXXX ) and explained them the problem. \n\nThey just transferred me to another department ( XXXX ) called - \" Transunion interactive '' which deals with their website ( I believe ). The representative told me that they are seeing error number XXXX while pulling my report, which is usually seen because of multiple profiles getting created for the same SSN or usage of multiple names etc. He asked me to contact \" Transunion customer relations '' number ( XXXX ) and have them fix the data on my report. \n\nOn contacting the consumer relations, I was surprised to hear that my Transunion profile/ report did n't have any issues, and so they do n't see anything to update. \nThey asked me to contact the interactive team again with the confirmation that nothing is wrong with my report. \n\nEven after having such confirmation from Customer relations, the Interactive team kept on pushing back saying that they ca n't do anything about it. I contacted both these teams few more times, but was just getting transferred between their teams. They never agreed to come on a single call, which might have fixed the issue. I have even talked to supervisors from both the teams, and also talked to few folks from \" Special handling '' department, but no one could tell me what the actual issue was. I have n't got a resolution so far. \n\nFor now, I have asked them to send me a physical copy. '' Also on XXXXX17 my daughter successfully assisted my wife in obtaining her free annual credit reports on-line from all the three major credit reporting agencies. \n\nToday, XXXX XXXX, 2017, I attempted to obtain my credit report from Transunion on the same site and got the same result as my daughter did, shown above. At that time I called the phone number for Customer Support given on the Transunion site, XXXX. When an agent came on the phone line I explained what had taken place, including my report being able to be produced from the annualcreditreport.com site for the other two agencies, and that my wifes report was produced for all three agencies. An important point here is that my wife and I have co-mingled finances, sharing the same checking account, investment account and credit cards, with each of us being the primary card holder for one of two card accounts. We are both listed on all of our other accounts with privileges to discuss the accounts and make transactions. \n\nThe first agent I spoke with at Transunion said he could not tell why I received the message above, rather than my report being produced. He said I would have to order the report to be mailed via USPS. I explained that we chose to request the reports on-line because, despite the risks on-line, we also have a real risk of our mail being put into the wrong XXXX XXXX at our local post office, where we receive all of our mail. We in fact have had mail, including a financial document, put into a XXXX XXXX that was near ours. That happens often enough that the Post Office has a slot for Mis-boxed mail, with the intent and hope that everyone receiving someone elses mail will be honest enough to put that mail into the Mis-boxed slot, preferably unopened. \n\nThe agent gave me another number for Transunion On-line Customer Support and said I would have to call that number to try to get an explanation of why my report could not be obtained on-line. I called that number and was given the same answer, that the agent could not explain why my Transunion report could not be obtained on-line, even though my wifes report was obtained. The agent also said neither she, nor anyone in Customer Support, have access to Transunion IT personnel who might address and correct the issue. At my insistence the agent finally agreed to connect me with a supervisor, though all I got was a busy signal. I called back and eventually was connected with a supervisor who also could not or would not explain why I could not get my Transunion report on-line, and that she also could not speak with anyone in technical support about an on-line problem. Further, the supervisor suggested that perhaps both my daughter and I did not enter my information correctly or made some other error of input or procedure in trying to obtain my report. She, and a subsequent agent, apparently did not believe me that my daughter was able to obtain three reports for my wife, and two for me, indicating that she did know the correct information and how to input it. My daughter had also made two attempts to get my report, with the same result. Considering that my daughter was a XXXX XXXX in a highly respected accounting program at a major US university, had a XXXX in her XXXX in accounting and high scores on her XXXX exams while working full-time, it is doubtful that the problem was due to her error. I hold a XXXX degree and ran my own XXXX XXXX XXXX for 28 years. Both my daughter and I know to check our own work, which we did. \n\nAs such, I dont value the suggestion from Transunion that both my daughter and I are not competent enough to complete the process correctly and accurately, while Transunion personnel apparently are neither willing, authorized or able to determine the cause of the resulting message above, rather than my Transunion report being produced. \n\nSummary : 1. in three correct attempts to produce my free annual credit report on-line from Transunion , the result was the same message shown above ; 2. Transunion personnel appear to be unable to explain why the above result happened three times, unauthorized and perhaps untrained to do anything about this problem, other than suggest the problem is entirely due to the consumers on-line input error ( s ) ; 3. In response, I attempted to get my credit report online. \n\nI can only assume that in response to case # XXXX where I complained that Trans Union improperly sent a disclosure that I ordered to an attorney who opened it herself. \nTrans Union has since placed an undisclosed \" fraud flag '' on my credit file. This flag was not disclosed on my credit file directly from Trans Union and they have refused to remove this flag from my file by giving me the run around when I contact them by phone to have it removed. \n\nThey literally sent me from one number to another eventually ending up calling the first number again to start the runaround over again. \n\nThat flag apparently means the following : 1. If I attempt to get my credit report from Trans Union through AnnualCreditReport.com, Trans Union will not attempt to authenticate my identity using their identity verification process. When I login to my Trans Union account and try to get my credit report through that route, it 's the same. When I called their toll free # XXXX in an attempt to remove whatever was being used to block all of my attempts to get my credit report online, I was told my file is handled by a priority department and transferred. When I got to that that person, I was passed to another @ XXXX. When I spoke to a representative there, I was given another @ XXXX. \nAt no time would anyone tell me why I could n't get my credit report through AnnualCreditReport.com or TransUnion.com. I ended up getting transferred or provided the initial number of XXXX again and transferred once again. Finally, I was transferred to an unknown number and asked to leave a voicemail which I did. I did n't expect a callback and have n't recevied a call back so far. \n\n4. I also attempt to see if I could manage my security freeze online through Trans Union. I get an error there too. \n\n5. Since I was n't able to get my credit report online through AnnualCreditReports.com or TransUnion.com, I went to XXXX to see if I could get my Trans Union report there. I did n't expect it to succeed since ( 1 ) there are not identify verification questions presented and ( 2 ) it 's through a third party. But I was able to get a report through XXXX and this is where I confirmed the score had dropped XXXX points and multiple accounts where deleted which I suspect was the reson for the score drop of XXXX points. This is also where I see the following related to a \" fraud flag '' : Your credit report has a \" fraud flag '' Most likely, this is because you contacted TransUnion with a suspicion that your credit report was being used fraudulently. When a credit report has a fraud flag, lenders follow extra precautions when granting credit based on the information in that credit report. \n\n\nSo Trans Union makes no money when they must supply a free credit report so they block all of my attempts to get the report online. Also Isn't there a need for issuers to give customer heads up about this? No information was provided that 0 % on purchase/BT doesn't in fact mean \" grace '' and that any other \" fees '' can be charged interest at the day of posting even on 0 % period. For this case, this fee was charged not for wrongdoings ( i.e late fee/cash advance ) This seems like a sneaky method that Citi does to capture on the {$0.00} of fee by offering customer 0 % APR plans to lure customer to not pay in \" interest-free '' period and catch on sneaky fees like this.\n\nCiti did waive {$0.00} on this but had to call again to waive the trailing interest of {$1.00} on the annual fee. At this point I had {$10000.00} on my BT Plan and roughly {$2300.00} on my 0 % Purchase and theoretically not on Grace according to Citi.\n\nAs mentioned before, my 0 % purchase plan was going to end on XX/XX/XXXX so I proactively made enough payment ( {$10000.00} ) to avoid paying any interest. All in all I am on 0 % on my BT plan and such substantial payment would be enough to not be charged interest. But as you can expect, Citi does not do anything in favor of the customer. Because my payment of {$10000.00} was made BEFORE XX/XX/XXXX this payment was allocated according to payment hierarchy rule-new purchase that are on 19.24 % from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX ( Cycle close date ) but the remaining amount was allocated to my BT plan which has 1 more year of 0 % vs. all to my 0 % purchase which was ending in 6 days after payment. Not sure what the regulation is on payment hierarchy when the APR is the same in both plans and how payment allocation works but, in customer friendliness doesnt it make sense for your payment allocation to be applied to the plan that is ending the soonest rather than the latest? What is the point of payment hierarchy if banks can do whatever they want on same APR plans? In this case I shouldnt have done Citi a favor by paying my bill early and customer should never ever pay my bill early as you can be penalized. If I waited for my promo to end and made the {$10000.00} payment on my due date XX/XX/XXXX, this wouldnt have happened at all. A case when paying early hurts the customer should never be allowed. Citi made some money by getting my {$10000.00} early and saving on cost of funds, liquidity allocation etc and charged interest on customers. Never ever customer first After explaining all this to the customer agent and getting the interest waived. I asked a question on how much of my XX/XX/XXXX statement balance of {$3700.00} is under 0 % balance transfer? The agent told me that {$2900.00} are in my BT plan so any payment of {$800.00} would satisfy my payment and would be not be charged interest. I then made a payment of {$850.00} on XX/XX/XXXX and auto-pay of min due of {$56.00} ( Total of {$900.00} ) but dont understand why I am getting a {$8.00} interest charged on a {$510.00} balance subject to interest charge. I have talked to multiple agents and none could explain how my {$900.00} payment was allocated and what sort of payment hierarchy rule they have used. What sort of calculation is need for the statement reflect {$510.00} balance subject to interest? I know credit cards but dont understand what method of payment allocation and daily accrual method Citi is using. And agents continuously avoided any valid explanation and I had to ask numerous times on how much of my statement balance is on 0 % BT plan. Finally they have waived my fee and told me all my balance excluding new purchases are in 0 % BT but, well see next month and see. It is impossible to avoid this fee, because they refuse to close the account. I started noticing irregularities in the info they were reporting to me, right away. \n\nI deployed automated investing on XX/XX/XXXX. The 1st payment due to me was due XX/XX/XXXX. But when I checked on XX/XX/XXXX, that XX/XX/XXXX due date had disappeared. Now I was shown only a XX/XX/XXXX note date, which was not yet paid, and yet the summary page still said no past due accounts. There was something weird about that. What happened to the XX/XX/XXXX due date between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX? Barely two months into my experience with Lending Club, I started to sense that they were not being upfront with investors about past due accounts. \n\nI checked again on XX/XX/XXXX, and could then see a XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX due date, with both showing payments received for prior months. So presumably my missing XX/XX/XXXX due date had made a reappearance ( now due one month later, on XX/XX/XXXX ). They had decided they could show me the note again, now that it was paid, but whether it had been paid timely or paid late was information that was being withheld. \n\nI checked again on XX/XX/XXXX, and there was no XX/XX/XXXX due date showing any more. Why? How could the due date have changed? Why would this disappear from my portfolio again? Did that mean it was late again? XX/XX/XXXX would be past the grace period on that note. So, they just weren't going to show it to me? There was a XX/XX/XXXX and a XX/XX/XXXX due date, both showing fully paid. There was also some squirrelly stuff like a long list of payments made in amounts under one dollar, with the status shown for those as current. There were 20 due dates in the last 10 days of XXXX. \n\nAs of XX/XX/XXXX, there were 52 payments under {$1.00}, all showing current. Only 5 accounts had paid {$23.00} to {$25.00}. This didnt make much sense to me since my lending increment was set to {$25.00} ; why would a bunch of accounts be considered current with payments of XXXX or XXXX cents each? Several due dates in the recent past also showed current despite no payments being made. At this time I made minor adjustments to the auto-allocations ( 2 % more B-grade, 2 % less G-grade ) due to the Lending Clubs vague XX/XX/XXXX email about how they were adjusting their expected returns, and how that would impact auto-investing ( in plain English : they expected borrowers to pay even later, and pay back less money, than previously assumed, so they were reducing their optimism about expected performance - meaning all my investments already made were going to do worse than they had projected at the time I made the investments ). \n\nAlso, at this point I decided that it was hopeless trying to understand the current and past-due info being provided by Lending Club, primarily because of their lack of transparency. \n\nAs of XX/XX/XXXX, my adjusted account value was {$2600.00}, with the Lending Club system showing me a frankly unbelievable 10.31 % increase ( as compared to Lending Clubs stated historical returns of 3.44-8.53 % for my investment strategy ). Doing my own math, I estimated I had actually earned only 6.29 % over the past 50 weeks, based on the adjusted account value versus my opening contribution. So again, at the one year mark, I experienced deep misgivings that Lending Club was telling me one thing, and doing another. My money had grown from {$2500.00} to just {$2600.00}. Thats an increase of {$150.00}, which represents 6.29 % of the {$2500.00} investment. Why would Lending Club try to tell me that 6.29 % was really 10.31 %? It made no sense. It was too good to be true, because, well, it wasnt true. \n\nOn XX/XX/XXXX, I inquired about closing my Lending Club investment account. I made this decision because I felt that this would never be a good investment vehicle, and the longer I waited, the more I was going to lose. Their reply indicated that I could immediately transfer out only {$53.00} of my balance, subject to a {$50.00} fee by XXXX ( whatever that is ), meaning I could get less than 4 dollars out of them at the moment that I wanted to end my relationship with them. Lending Club indicated I would need to pause automated investing so that cash could accumulate, rather than being reinvested into additional loans, and that once all my cash was out of the notes in which it was invested, only at that point could I get access to all of my money. They also mentioned other options something about selling off my portfolio to other investors, at a loss but my research into that option revealed that this is only for sophisticated investors and involves considerable effort and loss of funds. I did some research online and found that the cash accumulation process should be expected to take 3 to 5 years to be complete. Lending Club also suggested that I could withdraw a little at a time, such as by making 5 transfers of {$500.00} each, a little at a time as cash accumulated over the years with each transfer out, of course, being subjected to a separate fee. I asked Lending Club to show me exactly when and how all this was disclosed to new investors like myself, and their answer was that I should review their 200-page prospectus and other information posted online. They declined to point out any specific reference to any actual disclosure they might claim they made. Reviewing that prospectus once again today, I do not see any clear disclosures that reveal that it is impossible to transfer your money out of Lending Club, or that they will fee you {$50.00} for such transfers, or anything about any annual fee, which I only learned of recently, as detailed below. \n\nOn XX/XX/XXXX, they notified me that because my balance is under {$10000.00}, Ill also be subjected to a {$100.00} annual fee going forward. This fee is basically for nothing, just for having the account. They describe as \" for maintaining the retirement status '' of the account, or some such bogus description meaning nothing more than having my account on the books ( specifically, they claim this new fee is just \" to ensure that your investment maintains its tax-advantaged status '' ). Soon I would discover that this is actually more like \" protection money. '' That {$100.00} annual fee means that if takes 5 years to liquidate this investment, their actual termination fee is not {$50.00}, but {$550.00}. Im certain this is first notification or disclosure Ive ever had of any {$100.00} annual fee. \n\nTheir latest XX/XX/XXXX email threatens that if this fee is not paid every year going forward, then in addition to their substantial late fees, they will terminate the \" retirement account status '' of my account, convert it to a taxable account ( one from which, Im sure, I still wouldnt be able to access any money ), and that this will subject me to significant IRS tax penalties for taking this ( forced ) distribution of the retirement funds. I am certain this was never disclosed to me until this email. This is what makes the fee \" protection money. '' They demand to eat away at my accumulated cash, and if I fail to pay up, they'll arbitrarily decide to make changes to my account, and they'll lie to the IRS and say that I withdrew all my money and should therefore be taxed on it. They claim payments made total {$2700.00}. In other words - I gave them {$2500.00}, and they've been paid in full and more, they've been paid {$2700.00}, and yet they still think I only have access to {$820.00}. Some 10 % of my notes have been charged-off, while another 3.35 % are either late or in default. \n\nDesired resolution : Lending Club should continue to waive all annual fees until my account is closed. I immediately contacted my friends and roommates to let them know what happened. Then I looked online and on social media where I found out that I was not the only one affected from a post I saw on XXXX that morning. I did not have a very close relationship with my family and communicated to my then friends more, so I asked for their input. But they were as clueless as me. I briefly called my dad, mom, and sister to tell them what happened and check if they were affected since they use Bank of America too. Thankfully they were not so I quickly went to the nearest BOA branch to inquire why this happened. On getting there, it was crowded, and we were told not to worry and to wait till the ongoing investigation is finalized. I did just that to keep myself from spiraling and to keep my already compromised mental state from worsening. I channeled my energy to school and other things, praying that the issue to get resolved soon. Soon after I was told that the bank decided to close my account totally, when I asked why information was withheld by me. I asked what I could do to resolve this but was told that I could not do anything. My past coping mechanism was to isolate and avoid due to my crippling XXXX. I started to overthink about the reason why this happened. I did not harm anyone ; I tried my best to do good and offer help and was finally improving my mental health so why me??? All which I had no knowledge of. I was a short-time braider to earn money for my upkeep so i got paid with cash. I had minimal knowledge about checks since I never used them. I started thinking back to all the times that I let friends, clients, and a few strangers use my phone for a while to make calls or something else due to my younger self lack of caution and security. I was brought up with the \" sharing is caring '' and \" to do good always '' principle so I thought that being selfless was the best thing to do to help others. Identity theft and fraud was the main cause of this issue after doing my findings online. I can't sleep and eat because of this issue. I start my big girl job soon but feel stagnant because of this issue. With a freeze, one can lock down the credit files and unlock it by using a PIN, effectively blocking identity thieves from being able to open credit lines with on my credit file. \nIn XXXX, I stated the process of refinancing my current home mortgage loan, in the process I tried to access my Equifax report online to which I have paid a full year of membership online to which now I cant use and this was paid ahead. \nWhen finally I was able to talk to then the Office of Consumer Affairs office since they afre keeping my file the credit bureau told me when I ask why there is a security frezze to which I can not control, their respond was because of the freeze, I would have to request my report by mail and include a copy of my Social Security card and the PIN I uses to freeze not having done this no credit report -- in short, everything an identity thief would need to open credit lines in his name. To clear this I have provided countless of time my id social security I lost count The process seemed so onerous that I am torn between forgoing checking my credit report or let then rule agains my file for no any reason. \nI also I told then that the lender need to review my file and they refuse to do anything, if they did nothing or control my file I would have move on with the refinancing but no this has not happen since some lender need to see all 3 credit bureau This problem is unique to Equifax. My complaint here, is about the need for Credit reporting agencies to provide ACCESSIBLE methods of communication to complete the task. Specifically for Experian to allow for their website to create alternative methods for allowing Consumers to VERIFY identity to access their report. Experian blocks Consumers from logging in or receiving their Free Annual Credit Report, leading you to purchase 'access ', via purchasing a subscription, to gain access. That subscription further exploits by your having to agree to 'share ' your information with anyone who 'claims ' to have a business. Selling your life to profit. Most XXXX  Rings, Trans National ones like mine, have greater technology than our GOVERNMENT. They exploit the IGNORANCE and GREED of the 3 companies that hold everyone 's past activities, phone numbers, email addresses, associate, employers and LOCATIONS. By having business fronts ; they REMAIN IN CONTROL. Today I was sent REPEATEDLY to sign in attempts, failed log ins; denied access from Experian. This has happened every time, over the years that I have tried to access my Report. There's no questions asked to help verify your identity, unlike the other two agencies. Equifax has a great model for initial access to begin the dispute process. It doesn't require the Consumer go in circles for HOURS and allows uploading of what information is required to comply with the LAW. The amount of RISK Victims are being put in being forced to disclose life threatening information online, in email accounts, via technology that is shared beyond your control, with every website you visit is dangerous. They had nothing and had no choice to drop it. They sent copy of letter where they said it was fraud. I saw the letter. Obviously the Big 3 did nothing. The charge offs were more complicated but my attorneys handled them and they showed they were removed. I have copies from all three agencies that they were removed. Now I do a check 8 or so months later and find this junk on my credit and I am furious. I have complained to the government for what it is worth but initially the credit bureaus had my name 11 ways, 6 of them were totally bogus. On my birthdate I had 4 dates for my birthdate. None were correct. Even worse was I had three social security numbers and guess what none of them were mine. While pulling up this report there still was an incorrect social security number. Now this Big 3 is literally the King of all transactions. They have never kept me from buying a car or home but I bet they have millions. Then my attorney told me I needed to take out more credit cards since I never had any loans of any kind. Look at my report You will not see but one that is for my son with XXXX 10 or more years ago. I pay cash for everything and my attorneys said I should start using charge card mores. I would receive notices from the Big 3 and tell me how good my credit was and tell me to apply to for this card. XXXX XXXX and two others. All three denied me credit. That is with giving them the annual income of XXXX  per year plus all the cash I want or need. This is beyond belief. The thing with XXXX XXXX has said it was because I closed the account. It showed no late payments. But a history of these kind of payments for 15 years and then outright lies. I have taken all the procedures to handle this correctly and tried not to get furious at having all these social security numbers and incorrect information.
