And that using an UNSECURE method such as email is an acceptable form. They then proceeded to tell me that if I do n't feel comfortable I can submit via fax or online. Both of which are much more secure My complaint is that the advice NelNet servicing is giving to email with all of this sensitive information is setting their lendee 's into a possible risk for sniffing and having their information stolen.     This is a pseudo government entity to service loans. I do not believe they are giving their customers proper advice to keep their identity or their families secure from would be thieves. I contacted Chase 's customer service and informed the agent of these facts. The agent did not inform me that if I dropped this dispute, I would not be able to reopen it if something happened and the rental car did not return my deposit. They also did not inform me that the vehicle rental company could return my deposit quite easily, even whilst there was an ongoing dispute in place. Subsequently I cancelled the dispute but the rental company still not return my deposit. I contacted Chase customer service again, was informed that I would have to fax all the details and email chain between myself and the rental company over to them as that was the only way to proceed further, which I did. Chase then informed me that they would not reopen the dispute. I contacted Chase customer service again and was informed by another agent that the previous agent should have informed me with the details regarding cancelling the dispute and he was sorry but there was nothing he could do. I then spoke to a Chase customer service supervisor who then raised my complaint with Chases ' Executive Office. I spoke with them and was informed to contact the card benefits department, which I did. However, they also informed me there was nothing they could do either. A total of two separate occasions I spoke to the XXXX, but ultimately they informed me that they could or would not do anything because the customer service agent was not allowed to provide \" legal advice '' and had done nothing wrong, even though he could have told me the actions that may happen on cancelling a dispute. Not once did I ask for any legal advice, it was the failure and lack of advice/protocols that was not provided to myself by Chase. XXXX has refused to validate the date and they have refused to provide me documentation related to the account they are charging me for. \nOn XX/XX/2020 around XXXX XXXX, I spoke with XXXX via telephone from Experian. I questioned him as to why a fraudulent and unverified account remained on my personal credit report. XXXX informed me that XXXX varied the account by mean on an electronic notification. He stated that XXXX did not provide any tangible documentation, they simply pushed a button and stated the account was correct. I asked for more information and requested that the account be reinvestigated. XXXX informed me that if I wanted an investigation on any items on my credit report, I would need to go to the police station, file a police report, list each item individually, and send a copy of the report to Experian either by mail, fax, or upload it. He then provided me with the fax number, mailing address and directions as to how to upload the police report that he told me I need to go file. I asked for the account number on the account and information as to who was collecting the debt. XXXX stated that he could not provide me that information for security reasons. This account is not being handled correctly and I do not think XXXX from Experian should be providing me legal advice. Also do not understand how Experian can legally keep a fraudulent and unverified item on my credit report. There was no mention of additional fees for sending mail and filing a bankruptcy petition ( we were blindsided by this ) and the fee for the paralegal was also deceptive to my understanding as we filed under pro se status. We were given legal advice and instructed to file a chapter XXXX by this paralegal when only a licensed attorney is allow to provide legal advice so that is another violation to the bankruptcy code of conduct. The bulk of the money was paid via check although the paralegal requested I put money directly into her account ( which was actually her daughter 's account because the bank she uses \" does not have a branch in your area '' ) and the bankruptcy court would only accept a cashier 's check or money order as payment. The fee for mailing the documents was paid via debit card at the USPS station. This company does not follow the laws & regulations and uses deceptive marketing and sales tactics to lure people like us in.
