This situation, which I believe to be a result of a data breach or severe mismanagement of personal information, is not only alarming but poses a risk to my financial security and privacy. In light of this, and my immediate need to address potential repercussions, I am seeking monetary damages to hire a private investigator and obtain necessary insurances. \n\nNarrative of Events : Upon receiving the letter from Wells Fargo regarding an account associated with a name I no longer use, I was deeply concerned about the integrity of my personal data and the security of my financial information. This incident is particularly troubling as I am in the midst of planning significant financial activities, including a capital raise and real estate transactions, necessitating a clear and secure financial standing. \n\nViolations and Requested Resolution : Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ( GLBA ) : The potential exposure of my personal data suggests a breach of GLBA, which mandates financial institutions to protect the confidentiality and security of consumer information. \n\nFair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) : Should this issue affect my credit report, it would violate the FCRA 's requirements for accurate and fair credit reporting. \n\nGiven these concerns, I request the CFPB to : Initiate a thorough investigation into the handling and protection of my personal and financial data by Wells Fargo, specifically identifying how my former name came to be associated with recent communications. \nMandate Wells Fargo to provide monetary damages sufficient to hire a private investigator to assess the extent of the data breach or mismanagement and to secure necessary insurances that would protect my financial interests moving forward. \nEnsure Wells Fargo takes immediate steps to secure my data against further unauthorized access or breaches and to correct any inaccuracies in their records or on my credit report stemming from this issue. \nConclusion : The receipt of this letter under a former name and the potential it signifies for a data breach or significant mismanagement has caused me considerable distress and concern for my financial future. It is imperative that this matter is resolved promptly and thoroughly, with Wells Fargo held accountable for any lapses in data security or management. I trust the CFPB will act swiftly to address this complaint and facilitate the necessary financial restitution for me to mitigate the potential impacts of this situation. \n\nSincerely, XXXX XXXX","date_sent_to_company":"2024-02-25T11:53:46.000Z","issue":"Managing an account","sub_product":"Checking account","zip_code":"92019","tags":null,"has_narrative":true,"complaint_id":"8415917","timely":"Yes","company_response":"Closed with explanation","submitted_via":"Web","company":"WELLS FARGO & COMPANY","date_received":"2024-02-25T11:46:26.000Z","state":"CA","company_public_response":"Company has responded to the consumer and the CFPB and chooses not to provide a public response","sub_issue":"Banking errors"},"highlight":{"complaint_what_happened":["This situation, which I believe to be a result of a data breach or severe mismanagement of personal information, is not only alarming but poses a risk to my financial security and privacy. The following key points support my request : 1. Severe Data Breach Impacting Loan Integrity My personally identifiable information ( PII ) was accessed without authorization, jeopardizing my financial security. \nThe breach compromises the integrity of my student loan account, as unauthorized parties now have access to sensitive details, which could lead to fraudulent activity under my name. \n2. Violation of Consumer Rights and Federal Data Protections The U.S. Department of Education, as a loan servicer and custodian of student financial aid data, has a legal obligation under the Privacy Act of 1974, the Higher Education Act, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) to ensure the protection of borrowers financial records. \nThe failure to secure my personal information represents a breach of these protections, directly impacting my ability to manage my student loans safely. \n3. I never gave consent for my private information to be shared outside the normal operations of my loan servicing, and this infiltration of my data by an outside party constitutes a grave violation of my privacy rights. \n\nThis incident appears to violate federal privacy laws and data protection standards. In fact, U.S. Senators have raised concerns that the Education Departments cooperation with DOGE may violate the Privacy Act, which generally prohibits disclosure of personal information without consent. The Privacy Act of 1974 ( 5 U.S.C. 552a ) requires federal agencies to safeguard personal data, a duty that seems to have been breached in this case. Additionally, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ( FERPA ) protects student education records, and allowing an unaffiliated individual to access loan records likely runs afoul of FERPAs protections. A federal judge has already intervened in a related instance, blocking DOGEs access to other agencies data due to the risk of leaks or cyberattacks, and noted that the arrangement was likely illegal. Critically, this involuntary forbearance explicitly does not accrue PSLF credit, unjustly penalizing compliant borrowers. I have diligently made PSLF-qualifying payments for over eight years, totaling more than 96 months toward the required 120-month threshold. \n\nOn XX/XX/XXXX, I timely submitted my IDR recertification and PSLF form. Both documents remain \" In Review '' for 180 days as of XX/XX/XXXX. MOHELAs inability to process these documents resulted directly in involuntary forbearance and halted my PSLF progress through no fault of my own. This mismanagement has caused me substantial financial harm and prolonged my repayment unnecessarily. \n\nFurther Concern Regarding Extended IDR Recertification Timelines : XXXX stated policy ( retrieved XX/XX/XXXX, from mohela.studentaid.gov ) that \" Recertification of IDR plans will not be required until at least XX/XX/XXXX '' further compounds the harm already inflicted. This arbitrary extension deprives diligent borrowers, including myself, of the ability to appropriately certify and document their income-driven repayment status and secure rightful PSLF credit. Rather than providing relief, such an extended delay introduces unnecessary uncertainty and complexity, prolonging the financial burden on borrowers who have consistently complied with all program requirements. It is unjust and unreasonable to force compliant borrowers to endure additional years of financial uncertainty due to systemic administrative mismanagement. \n\nThese actions clearly violate : Higher Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 1087e ( m ) ) : The PSLF statute mandates loan forgiveness after 120 qualifying payments made under eligible employment. MOHELAs arbitrary placement into non-qualifying forbearance contradicts statutory intent and unlawfully denies me timely forgiveness, causing prolonged financial hardship and stress. \nFair Debt Collection Practices Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1692e ( 2 ) ( A ) ) : MOHELAs forced forbearance misrepresents the legal status and obligations of my loans, falsely indicating that I am ineligible for qualifying payments, thereby harming my financial standing and delaying my rightful loan forgiveness.\n\nAdministrative Procedure Act ( 5 U.S.C. 706 ( 2 ) ( A ) ) : The indefinite administrative hold on IDR and PSLF applications by MOHELA and the Department of Education is arbitrary, capricious, and contrary to federal law. This unjustified delay actively deprives me of my legally entitled PSLF credits, negatively impacting my financial security and career planning. \nConsumer Financial Protection Act ( 12 U.S.C. 5531 ) : MOHELAs handling of IDR and PSLF constitutes unfair, deceptive, and abusive practices. Their claim that \" no action is required '' despite causing significant financial and emotional harm demonstrates deceptive and abusive servicing tactics.\n\nAdditional Evidence of Bad Faith and Administrative Negligence : On XX/XX/XXXX, at approximately XXXX XXXX XXXX, I contacted MOHELA by phone and was informed that the estimated wait time to speak with a representative was 2 hours and 45 minutes, an unreasonable expectation considering my full-time, 9-hour weekday work schedule. Such extensive wait times obstruct my ability to resolve critical financial matters promptly, further exacerbating my financial and emotional distress.\n\nFurthermore, MOHELA representatives have repeatedly cited ongoing court proceedings as justification for processing delays. These administrative or judicial disputes should never penalize borrowers who have diligently fulfilled all program obligations. Imposing the consequences of external legal issues onto compliant borrowers like myself exacerbates financial stress and unjustly prolongs my repayment period.\n\nPart 2 : DOGE-Related Data Breach and Insufficient Response Further compounding these issues, MOHELA recently experienced a significant data breach involving DOGE-related activities, compromising my personal and financial information. Upon reporting the breach and expressing urgent concern about identity theft and financial fraud, MOHELA instructed me to wait approximately 90 days for resolution. This delayed response is unacceptable given the immediate risk posed by identity theft. \n\nDue to MOHELAs inadequate response, I proactively purchased identity theft protection services, locked my credit accounts, and remain actively vigilant in monitoring my financial informationactions undertaken at significant personal expense and inconvenience. \n\nThese failures represent clear violations of : Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ( 15 U.S.C. 68016809 ) : MOHELA failed in its statutory obligation to protect sensitive consumer information, directly causing ongoing personal financial costs and heightened risk of identity theft.\n\nFederal Trade Commission Act ( 15 U.S.C. 45 ( a ) ) : The delay and inadequacy of MOHELAs response constitute unfair and deceptive practices, impeding my ability to timely and effectively mitigate identity theft risks. \n\nPart 3 : Violations of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ( FERPA ) MOHELAs security breach also violates FERPA ( 20 U.S.C. 1232g ), explicitly requiring robust protection of student and borrower records. The unauthorized exposure of my personal and financial data severely compromises my privacy and financial security, representing a failure of MOHELAs federally mandated responsibilities. \n\nThe Resulting Harm : These cumulative failures and violations have caused : Indefinite delays in loan forgiveness and financial planning disruption. \nUnwarranted interest accrual and increased debt burden. \nOut-of-pocket expenses for identity protection services. \nHeightened risk and ongoing anxiety regarding identity theft. \nSevere emotional distress and professional disruption.","date_sent_to_company":"2025-04-02T20:33:33.000Z","issue":"Dealing with your lender or servicer","sub_product":"Federal student loan servicing","zip_code":"91792","tags":null,"has_narrative":true,"complaint_id":"12773461","timely":"No","company_response":"Closed with explanation","submitted_via":"Web","company":"MOHELA","date_received":"2025-04-02T19:54:37.000Z","state":"CA","company_public_response":null,"sub_issue":"Trouble with how payments are being handled"},"highlight":{"complaint_what_happened":["Part 2 : DOGE-Related Data Breach and Insufficient Response Further compounding these issues, MOHELA recently experienced a significant data breach involving DOGE-related activities, compromising my personal and financial information. XXXX ), where the court held that credit agencies can be held liable for failing to maintain accurate consumer records. Additionally, Restatement ( Second ) of Torts 552, governing negligent misrepresentation, applies when institutions entrusted with consumer data disseminate false information to third parties without proper diligence. Courts have held financial institutions to a high standard of care, as seen in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX. XXXX ), emphasizing the duty to protect consumer information from misuse. Furthermore, under 15 U.S.C. 6801 ( b ) of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, financial institutions must respect consumer privacy and ensure safeguards to prevent unauthorized disclosures. Failure to do so, as in FTC XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX ( XXXX. XXXX ), demonstrates a clear breach of fiduciary duty, especially when consumer data is mismanaged or reported without informed consent. Finally, 15 U.S.C. 1692e ( 8 ) of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act prohibits furnishing false or misleading information regarding a consumers creditworthiness. Courts have interpreted the act broadly to penalize any false reporting, as in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX & XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX. XXXX ), where misleading actions by credit furnishers were deemed unlawful. The cumulative violation of these statutes and precedents underscores the severity of fiduciary breaches by credit reporting agencies and furnishers. Such breaches not only erode consumer trust but also expose these entities to significant legal and financial penalties, including fines, injunctions, and compensatory damages for harm caused to consumers. Unauthorized Names and Addresses Reporting Only the following name should be reporting : XXXX XXXX XXXX Only the following address should be reporting : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, FL XXXX The following unauthorized names and addresses must be removed immediately : Unauthorized Names XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Unauthorized Addresses XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, FL XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX Reporting Unauthorized and Inaccurate Information XXXX. XXXX XXXX Account Number : XXXX Account closed by the creditor due to billing inquiries, yet still reporting as open with late payments that were unauthorized and never substantiated. XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account Number : XXXX Fully paid and closed ; however, an inaccurate late payment is being reported, which misrepresents my creditworthiness. XXXX. XXXX Account Number : XXXX Reporting unauthorized and inaccurate information in violation of my opt-out request. XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX Account Number : XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX Account number XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX Account number XXXX Reporting unauthorized late payments and transaction history without my explicit consent. Gross Violations of Federal Law The continued reporting of these unauthorized and inaccurate accounts violates : XXXX. Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 15 U.S.C. 1681b : Consumer reporting agencies may only furnish information with explicit written consent. 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 : All fraudulent or unauthorized information must be blocked within four business days of receiving an FTC identity theft report and supporting documentation. Failing to block such information within this timeframe constitutes a severe violation subject to penalties under the FCRA. 2. Privacy Protections Under 15 U.S.C. 6802 Financial institutions and credit reporting agencies are prohibited from sharing nonpublic personal information with third parties without consumer consent. Despite my formal opt-out notice sent on XX/XX/XXXX, the unauthorized accounts and information continue to be reported, constituting gross negligence and fraudulent intent The gravity of this violation can not be overstated. Reporting agencies are bound by 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( a ) to adopt reasonable procedures for the proper use of consumer reports, which includes respecting a consumers explicit instructions regarding their data. Ignoring an opt-out notice amounts to bad faith, mismanagement, and, potentially, fraudulent intent, as it falsely implies that I consented to the sharing and reporting of my personal information. Case law such as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX. XXXX ), reinforces that reporting consumer information without permissible purpose or consent violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and subjects the violator to liability for damages. Moreover, this unauthorized reporting against my will constitutes a direct attack on my autonomy and financial well-being. It perpetuates a cycle of harm by misrepresenting my creditworthiness, damaging my financial reputation, and exposing me to unnecessary scrutiny or denial of opportunities. The Federal Trade Commission has consistently emphasized that violations of consumer opt-out rights are unfair and deceptive practices, as seen in FTC XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Civil Action No. XXXX. This callous disregard for my opt-out notice reflects a gross abuse of power and a systemic failure to prioritize consumer rights over profit. It is imperative that all unauthorized reporting cease immediately, and any parties found to have willfully ignored my instructions be held accountable under the full weight of the law.. 3. 18 U.S.C. 894 - Collection of Extensions of Credit by Extortionate Means XXXX XXXX XXXX, among others, has attempted to collect charged-off debts in a manner that can be classified as extortionate. These practices violate federal law and are punishable by up to 20 years in prison. 4. Breach of Fiduciary Duty and Contractual Obligations The reporting entities and financial institutions failed to provide proper disclosures and informed consent regarding the terms of reporting, as required by law. This constitutes a breach of fiduciary duty and a violation of contract law principles. Relevant XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) : The Supreme Court ruled that consumer reporting agencies are liable for negligence if they fail to adopt reasonable procedures to ensure accurate consumer reports. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) : The court held that failure to correct inaccurate information after receiving a valid dispute constitutes a violation of the FCRA. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX. XXXX ) : Reinforced that consumer reporting requires explicit written consent, and failure to obtain it violates the FCRA. FTC XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : Established penalties for failure to address fraudulent accounts after being notified of identity theft or inaccuracies. Disputes Do Not Validate Accounts It must be emphasized that my previous disputes regarding the accuracy of these accounts do not constitute validation or acceptance of their legitimacy. Any attempt by the credit reporting agencies or furnishers to use my prior disputes as justification for retaining unauthorized information would be predatory, fraudulent, and a direct violation of the FCRA. This deceptive practice would expose the agencies and furnishers to severe penalties. Opt-Out Notice I have formally opted out of XXXX, XXXX, and TransUnion under 15 U.S.C. 6802, withdrawing all authorization to report nonpublic personal information, including transaction history, utilization, and account experiences. The continued reporting of such information against my will constitutes fraudulent intent and a breach of federal law. Demands for Immediate Action 1. Immediate Removal of All Unauthorized Information All unauthorized names, addresses, and accounts must be permanently removed from my consumer report with immediate effect or no later than four business days from receipt of this letter. 2. Written Confirmation of Compliance XXXX, XXXX, and TransUnion must confirm the removal of all unauthorized information and provide documentation verifying compliance with federal law. 3. Adherence to Federal and Privacy Laws All parties must ensure compliance with the FCRA, 15 U.S.C. 6802, and related statutes to rectify these violations. Failure to address these demands will result in legal escalation, including FTC complaints, civil suits for statutory damages, and other legal remedies.","date_sent_to_company":"2024-11-25T23:22:47.000Z","issue":"Improper use of your report","sub_product":"Credit reporting","zip_code":"33579","tags":null,"has_narrative":true,"complaint_id":"10919734","timely":"Yes","company_response":"Closed with non-monetary relief","submitted_via":"Web","company":"TRANSUNION INTERMEDIATE HOLDINGS, INC.","date_received":"2024-11-25T23:22:27.000Z","state":"FL","company_public_response":"Company has responded to the consumer and the CFPB and chooses not to provide a public response","sub_issue":"Reporting company used your report improperly"},"highlight":{"complaint_what_happened":["This unauthorized reporting has caused significant harm to my financial standing and is a direct breach of my consumer rights. This prolonged silence in response to such a severe allegation is unacceptable and extremely concerning. For your review, we have attached the last email exchange. \n\nFurther exacerbating our concerns, we received a highly suspicious notice from Navy Federal Credit Union dated XX/XX/year>, signed by XXXX XXXX. This program was marketed to help individuals improve their credit scores by making monthly payments that would be reported to the major credit bureaus. I agreed to the terms, created the account under my legal name ( XXXX XXXX ), and began making consistent monthly payments of {$25.00} over the course of an entire year. \n\nDespite meeting all payment obligations on time and in full, I later discovered that not a single payment from this account was reported to any of the three major credit bureaus. When I contacted Self Inc. to address the issue, they claimed that due to an inconsistency in the last two digits of my Social Security Number, they were unable to report my account to the credit bureaus. \n\nThis explanation is deeply flawed and unacceptable for several reasons, both legally and ethically. \n\n\n\nKey Violations and Concerns 1. Negligent Identity Verification Self stated in writing that they are required to collect and verify Social Security information during the application process. However, their system failed to detect a mismatch in my SSN at the time of account creation. This represents clear negligence : If they had followed proper verification procedures, they would have rejected or flagged the application. \nInstead, they allowed the account to remain active for over a year, collecting payments while knowingly failing to fulfill the core promise of credit reporting. \n\n2. Breach of Contract The entire purpose of the Credit Builder Account is to build credit. I entered into the agreement with the understanding that my responsible financial behavior would be reported to credit agencies. \nI received none of the benefits promised. \nSelf retained my money while failing to deliver the primary service. \nThis constitutes a material breach of contract and unjust enrichment. \n\n3. Contradictory and Misleading Credit Reporting Self told me they could not report due to an incorrect SSN yet I later found a Self-related tradeline reported on my credit report, as well as a payment from the Self Visa card. \nThis contradiction implies that Self either : Did report under the correct SSN, making their explanation false ; or Reported under the wrong SSN, which constitutes a misrepresentation of identity and may have merged my financial data with someone elses credit profile. \nEither case reflects a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and could expose me to financial harm or identity confusion. \n\n4. Refusal to Refund Funds Collected Under a Faulty Account Self refused to refund the funds I paid over the year, claiming the account does not belong to me because of the SSN mismatch even though : It was created in my name. \nIt was tied to my email. \nI was the one making the payments. \nThey maintained contact with me and confirmed the account history. \n\nThis results in a highly disturbing contradiction : Self took money from me for a service they say they couldnt provide, and then claimed Im not entitled to reimbursement because of their own verification error. \n\n\nPersonal and Financial Impact This experience has caused me severe emotional distress, as well as real and measurable financial harm : I entered this program specifically to improve my credit score in preparation for major life goals such as securing business credit, auto financing, and potentially homeownership. \nAfter a full year of paying diligently, I discovered zero progress on my credit due to Selfs internal failure. \nI was denied opportunities because of a credit score that should have improved under this program. \nI now have the additional burden of pursuing legal action and filing regulatory complaints just to reclaim funds and ensure my credit report is clean and accurate. \nI also have audio recordings of Selfs support team confirming the verification failure, which supports my claim. \n\n\nRequested Action I am requesting that the CFPB compel Self Inc. to : 1. Provide a full refund of all funds paid into the Credit Builder Account.\n\n2. Acknowledge in writing their verification failure and contradictory reporting behavior.\n\n3. Permanently correct or remove any false or partial credit entries from my report.\n\n4. Provide fair financial compensation for the harm caused, including opportunity cost and emotional distress.\n\n5. Open an internal audit to ensure this does not happen to other consumers as I believe this may reflect a larger pattern of systemic negligence or mismanagement.\n\nConclusion Self Inc. has acted in clear violation of consumer protection standards, and their practices may also put other consumers at risk. I trusted this company to help improve my financial future, and instead, I was misled, financially harmed, and then gaslighted with contradictory explanations about my identity and credit reporting.\n\nI respectfully request the CFPB to take this matter seriously and hold Self Inc. accountable for their violations. \n\nSincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX","date_sent_to_company":"2025-06-25T00:01:24.000Z","issue":"Incorrect information on your report","sub_product":"Credit reporting","zip_code":"64055","tags":null,"has_narrative":true,"complaint_id":"14261319","timely":"Yes","company_response":"Closed with explanation","submitted_via":"Web","company":"Self Financial Inc.","date_received":"2025-06-24T23:23:14.000Z","state":"MO","company_public_response":null,"sub_issue":"Information belongs to someone else"},"highlight":{"complaint_what_happened":["Personal and Financial Impact This experience has caused me severe emotional distress, as well as real and measurable financial harm : I entered this program specifically to improve my credit score in preparation for major life goals such as securing business credit, auto financing, and potentially homeownership. \nAfter a full year of paying diligently, I discovered zero progress on my credit due to Selfs internal failure."],"product":["Credit reporting or other personal consumer reports"]},"sort":[10.317212,"14261319"]},{"_index":"complaint-public-v1","_id":"15140807","_score":10.029928,"_source":{"product":"Credit reporting or other personal consumer reports","complaint_what_happened":"XXXX Consumer Financial Protection Bureau,\\nI am writing to file a formal complaint against various furnishers and credit reporting agencies for violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and my rights as a consumer. Since then, I have received no settlement payments from major breaches, including XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Equifax, or Bank XXXX XXXX. Additionally, neither my children nor I have received any victims compensation from the Department of Justice, despite proof of victimization, which I have attached. \nIn XXXX, due to issues with our XXXX, our XXXX numbers were changed in an emergency by the South Carolina XXXX XXXX XXXX. The inspector assigned to the case was XXXX XXXX. After this change, I was accused of XXXX fraud. Initially, officials claimed it was a systematic error but later reversed their stance, suggesting I committed fraud, which I categorically deny. Despite my honesty and record-keeping, this accusation was sent to addresses where suspects, such as my mother XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and my sister, reside. This systematic error negatively impacted my financial situation and my familys stability. The address XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, SC, has been linked to XXXX and other records with fraudulent updates, despite never being associated with me personally. \n\nFurther, in XXXX of this year, unauthorized access to my and my childrens medical and financial records was documented, with information accessed monthly. I have had to repeatedly request the removal of a middle initial mistakenly added to my name on South Carolina XXXX XXXX. Despite assurances each time that it would be corrected, the issue persists. This is compounded by issues with phone numbers linked to breached accounts from XXXX, such as XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. These breaches and unauthorized uses of my personal information have been verified through phone provider records. \n\nNotably, the Department XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) appears connected to some discrepancies. For example, while my XXXX benefits and associated records display my updated legal name, my benefits recertification information was suddenly switched back to my old name without explanation. Despite showing evidence of these discrepancies to officials, my benefit records have been manipulated to misrepresent my identity and financial standing. \n\nSimilarly, changes in records have affected my insurance and federal records. Unauthorized individuals manipulated my XXXX account and benefits, compromising my IP address, email authentication, and even my insurance with XXXX XXXX. Recently, fraudulent XXXX charges appeared on my insurance on XX/XX/XXXX, despite my lack of involvement. \n\nAdditional fraud has involved relatives. For instance, my sons father recently won a settlement of {$190000.00} in XX/XX/XXXX in XXXX, yet child support adjustments have been erratic, likely due to changes in XXXX and health information. XXXX XXXX noted my mothers involvement in our records, despite my request to remove her due to misuse of my information. \n\nIn XXXX, I observed unusual financial XXXX among relatives who were previously in debt but suddenly gained perfect credit. I suspected fraud, involving a XXXX associate and manipulation of XXXX records, which at XXXX point falsely listed me as the owner of a hotel with foreign employees. My former business, XXXX XXXX XXXX, was taken from me after presenting a multi-million-dollar entertainment concept to XXXX XXXX. Following this meeting, my devices were compromised, stolen, and accessed without authorization, severely impacting my career. \n\nMy current employer, XXXX XXXX XXXX, has also mishandled my compensation and benefits. After suffering a XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, I qualified for medical leave but have yet to receive payment. Similarly, after my emergency hysterectomy in XXXX, I did not receive my full XXXX pay. In XXXX, I was shorted XXXX hours. Equipment issues were frequent, and the company appeared to hinder my ability to work by sending defective towers and assigning me to classes with inadequate resources. At XXXX point, a neighbor brought a box of equipment that XXXX confirmed had been sent to the wrong address by XXXX, compromising my security. Despite following all protocol and returning faulty equipment, the company claimed they had not received it, affecting my employment eligibility. \n\nEarlier this year, I faced issues with Concentrixs recruiter, who falsely claimed I needed a drug test, which I passed. Despite my repeated attempts to follow up, I never received responses or job confirmation. Meanwhile, XXXX unlawfully reported incorrect wages to the Social Security XXXX, resulting in a decrease in my sons XXXX benefits. Furthermore, the XXXX has provided inconsistent information about these reports, adding to our ongoing hardship. \n\nMy and my childrens medical records have also been tampered with. For example, despite having XXXX XXXX XXXX listed in my XXXX XXXX records, my primary care provider has said otherwise, leading to medical misdiagnoses. Billing inconsistencies, such as the erroneous {$80000.00} charges to XXXX for services I never received, illustrate these fraudulent practices. When I reported these discrepancies, the primary care provider unjustly dismissed me from her practice. \n\nOn several occasions, our personal records and belongings have been stolen from our home. Mail theft, unauthorized entries, and missing personal documents are regular occurrences. Recently, when XXXX requested my high school diploma, I discovered it had been stolen, along with my childrens report cards and certifications. \n\nWith evidence of multiple orchestrated financial crimes and unauthorized access to our personal, financial, and medical records by various individuals and organizations, I am seeking immediate action. This includes : XXXX. Changes to my and my childrens names. \nXXXX. Sealing of our medical record numbers, clinical records, and account histories to prevent further misuse. \nXXXX. Investigation into companies involved, including XXXX, XXXX, and other associated agencies. \n\nThese actions, constituting fraud, identity theft, unauthorized access, XXXX violations, discrimination, and retaliation, have created an unsafe environment for my family and inflicted significant financial, emotional, and physical distress. I request that immediate steps be taken to secure our information and hold responsible parties accountable. \nOver the past year, I have experienced an orchestrated pattern of financial, employment, and medical mismanagement by various organizations and individuals. The cumulative effects of these incidents have led to severe personal, medical, and financial hardship for my family and me. I implore you to address these issues with the utmost urgency, as they have impacted my health, my childrens well-being, and our financial stability. \nPersonal Background and Employment Issues with XXXX XXXX XXXX I am a single mother of XXXX children, and until recently, I was employed with XXXX XXXX XXXX. I experienced multiple incidents of payroll inconsistencies, mismanagement, and unaddressed medical leave issues due to my XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and a prior emergency hysterectomy in XX/XX/XXXX. Despite being eligible for medical leave under federal law, I encountered severe delays and missing paychecks, including errors in my XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX payroll. XXXX withheld portions of my income during these times, creating significant financial strain. Despite my best efforts to resolve these issues internally, I was encouraged by my supervisor, XXXX XXXX, to file for unemployment, which led to additional complications. \n\nOn top of that, I faced unusual and unethical recruitment practices in XX/XX/XXXX, when I was asked to take a drug screening for a new assignment that was, according to XXXX, urgent. During this process, I encountered irregularities, including late-night calls from the recruiter, delays, and unreturned messages. Although I passed the test, the recruiter stopped responding after confirming the validity of my prescription medications. I was left without employment, and my attempts to reach XXXX or XXXX XXXX about this recruiter were met with dismissal. This left me stranded financially and emotionally, as I felt I was being set up to fail without any recourse. \n\nMoreover, I discovered frequent alterations to my tax withholding information within the XXXX system between XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Despite repeatedly adjusting my XXXX to reflect my head-of-household status with XXXX dependents, it was changed back to XXXX allowances without my consent. I provided proof to XXXX, but this continued unchecked. \n\nMedical and XXXX XXXX XXXX I have a complex medical history, including childhood XXXX XXXX and XXXX concerns, which have been mishandled and misdiagnosed by both XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. Following my XXXX, which was initially recorded as a mild XXXX ( TIA ), my medical records were altered to indicate a diagnosis of hemiplegic migrainesa condition my son, not I, suffers from. This falsification has led to additional complications in my treatment and care, as my true medical needs have not been addressed. \n\nMy children and I have also faced issues with XXXX and XXXX. There are records falsely listing XXXX as XXXX, and despite requesting corrections, the errors persist. Our medical charts contain inaccurate information, including previous diagnoses, and unauthorized changes to my name and other details have resurfaced despite multiple updates. The confusion around these records has not only impacted our ability to receive proper medical care but has caused my sons XXXX benefits to decrease based on false wage reporting by XXXX. The inaccuracies in our medical histories have left us without essential treatments and correct medical advice, placing our health in jeopardy. \n\nMail Theft, Identity Theft, and XXXX XXXX I have experienced repeated mail theft, including the unauthorized removal of important documents such as my high school diploma, my childrens report cards, and various personal identification papers. On XXXX occasion, my home was left open, and my childs football game folder, which contained sensitive identification documents, was disturbed. These repeated invasions have left my family feeling vulnerable and unsafe. \n\nIn addition, I have encountered false tax documents and compromised IRS returns. XXXX forms showing electronic signatures have appeared without my knowledge, and previous years returns were tampered with, creating suspicion that I completed forms I did not. Concerningly, Ive noticed unusual discrepancies involving the Federal Reserve, where records tied to my settlements and victims compensation have been altered, preventing those funds from reaching me. Compounding this, my tax information has been altered to show false wages that caused financial setbacks, such as my sons XXXX reduction. \n\nOn multiple occasions, I have observed unauthorized changes to our benefits, accounts, and medical information from unidentified foreign sources in the XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. Ive seen indicators suggesting that my documents are being manipulated and sold, including when XXXX documentation unexpectedly appeared on my personal devices. The situation has escalated to XXXX XXXX that my familys personal and financial records are being remotely accessed and modified, creating continual disruption to our financial and medical security. \n\nUrgent Request for Action These interconnected actions have violated numerous federal laws, including : XXXX Violations : Unauthorized access and alteration of medical records, resulting in misdiagnoses and incorrect medical treatment. \nXXXX XXXX Violations : Wrongful termination and mishandling of medical leave rights and pay by XXXX. \nSocial Security XXXX Violations : False reporting of wages to the XXXX, leading to wrongful reductions in XXXX benefits. \nIdentity Theft and XXXX XXXX : Manipulation of personal information, tax records, and financial data, impacting access to settlements and benefits. \nVictims Rights Violations : Withholding of victims compensation and child support deposits, likely due to altered banking records. \n\nThe cumulative impact of these issues is more than financial ; it has placed my familys health, well-being, and sense of security at grave risk. I request immediate intervention to investigate these ongoing issues, enforce accountability among involved parties, and ensure that our recordsmedical, employment, and financialare corrected and secured. \n\nThank you for your attention to this matter. I am prepared to provide any additional documentation needed and am hopeful that with your assistance, my family and I can regain control over our health, financial stability, and personal security. \n\nI am urgently reaching out to address suspected fraud and identity misuse affecting my account and linked records, with the goal of correcting these errors and ensuring the privacy and safety of my familys energy services. This situation has caused significant concern for our household security, and I request your immediate assistance in investigating and removing fraudulent data associated with my account. \n\nSuspected Fraudulent Activity and Urgent Concerns There are multiple emails, addresses, and phone numbers that I have discovered associated with my XXXX XXXX account and records, which I did not authorize. The following emails in XXXX and XXXX fraudulent. I am asking for them to be immediately deleted from any association with my XXXX XXXX account or records. \n\nOn XX/XX/XXXX, I requested that the account for meter XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, SC reflect my updated information, including my new name, Social Security number, and drivers license number. However, my records do not show this update, and neither do they list other addresses I have lived at under my old name. These addresses include : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, SC XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, SC XXXX Lakecrest Apartments in XXXX, SC XXXX XXXX XXXX in Taylors, SC XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX?, XXXX, SC XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, SC XXXX This discrepancy is a serious issue, as it leaves my new identity information unlinked, while fraudulently assigned addresses remain on record. I request either the removal of XXXX XXXX XXXX from my account or the addition of my legitimate, previous addresses under my old identity. Currently, my consumer report lists a fraudulent address that was never mine and that I believe was being used by others while I maintained my own separate residence. \n\nFraudulent Use of My Identity and That of My Children Between XX/XX/XXXX and now, there have been individuals who have repeatedly used my name and my minor childrens names to obtain services and hide behind our identities. Specifically, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, SC XXXX appears fraudulently in my records as an address someone else used to access my information and receive my drivers license. \n\nThose I believe responsible for using my identity fraudulently include : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX These individuals have misused my identity and that of my minor children, XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX, in various financial schemes, manipulating records and identities linked to XXXX XXXX. It is essential that no accounts, direct deposits, or service addresses associated with these names, or variations like XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX, be linked to my XXXX XXXX account. \n\nXXXX XXXX and Billing Concerns It has come to my attention that fraudulent deposits marked as child support are being associated with my XXXX XXXX account. I also see discrepancies in my billing statements, with statements showing XXXX, OH as the merchant location, while my receipts indicate XXXX, NC. This inconsistency raises serious concerns about the integrity of these charges and possible unauthorized use. \n\nFurthermore, I have noted unusually high energy bills when our lights are on, which directly affects my familys health, as we experience symptoms of sickness when lights are used for extended periods. This unusual billing and possible connection with external deposits must be investigated, as it suggests potential fraudulent activity that could jeopardize our energy security. \n\nRequest for XXXX XXXX I am asking XXXX XXXX to take immediate steps to : XXXX. Remove fraudulent emails ( XXXX and XXXX ) and phone numbers associated with my account. \nXXXX. Correct my address history by either removing XXXX XXXX XXXX or adding legitimate past addresses under my old identity. \nXXXX. Investigate and remove unauthorized accounts or deposits connected to names used fraudulently, including aliases associated with my childrens names. \nXXXX. Examine discrepancies in billing statements and merchant location data, as these XXXX indicate unauthorized activity affecting my account. \n\nMy family depends on XXXX XXXX secure and reliable service, and any errors or fraud in our records directly impact our daily lives and well-being. I trust that XXXX XXXX will investigate and resolve these issues quickly to ensure the integrity of our account and the safety of our home. \nI am detailing the complex misuse of my identity and records by family members, which has led to financial and legal confusion. \n\nXXXX. Address and XXXX Records : Although my sister does not use my address with XXXX, XXXX with the Department of XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) XXXX her under my address. This has led to a mix-up, as the court records show payments from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX the determination of who is responsible for certain obligations. \nXXXX. Medical Record Number ( XXXX ) Discrepancies : At the hospital, I am listed under XXXX separate MRNsone for XXXX XXXX and another for XXXX XXXX XXXX. My sons XXXX was also changed without my consent. These discrepancies suggest attempts to use our medical records to forge identities or claim benefits fraudulently. \nXXXX. IRS Form XXXX Corrections : In XX/XX/XXXX, I received XXXX corrected IRS Forms XXXX, despite no legitimate reason for such changes. This suggests manipulation of our records, possibly to alter tax or insurance status. \nXXXX. Tax Filing Irregularities : I filed with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and expected a refund of {$6200.00} ; however, I only received {$5100.00}. I believe my sons father manipulated tax information, possibly claiming benefits as the head of household. Despite records showing my daughter is the head of household, corrections continue to misclassify this status. \nXXXX. XXXX XXXX and XXXX Discrepancies : My sons financial deposit history begins with XXXX, identical to numbers found in XXXX records for liens and judgments related to me as a victim. Previous checks issued to me as restitution for victimization are now missing, and XXXX Carolinas Disbursement Unit ( SC SDU ) is not recording deposits to my account ( XXXX ), though some deposits appear in FHE format ( indicating possible child support or benefits for family household expenses ). \n\nThe extensive misuse of my personal information, medical and tax records, and financial deposits has caused both personal and financial harm. I am seeking thorough investigation and corrective action. \nI am filing this complaint to report extensive fraud involving forged medical and financial records linked to my family. Specifically, my sons XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and other family members have allegedly altered my childrens medical records at XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX under my former name, XXXX XXXX. Theyve manipulated record numbers and listed incorrect dates of service, even though XXXX XXXX lived in XXXX since XXXX. Furthermore, I have evidence showing XXXX distinct medical record numbers for XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. \nXXXX recently won a {$200000.00} lawsuit at XXXX XXXX. Additionally, when he falsely accused me of criminal domestic XXXX ( XXXX ), the public index records show my name twice instead of his, further indicating fraudulent misuse of my identity. I have also found evidence that XXXX signed as my sons birth parent, using fraudulent documents to access benefits and funds without my consent. \nI also uncovered misuse of XXXX benefits in our medical records, falsely indicating absent parent support. In the Child Support Portal, over {$1000.00} in payments meant for my son has been held by the South Carolina State Disbursement Unit without explanation. Additionally, it appears my tax returns were forged and intercepted, with {$5100.00} issued on a fraudulent check from XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX instead of the original {$6200.00} owed. \nI have evidence suggesting a XXXX XXXX account was linked to my Treasury XXXX account under my new identity without my authorization. Despite removing certain addresses, XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX records show XXXX continued to use my address. The ongoing manipulation of my records has been substantiated by documents, and my XXXX data was also accessed without permission. I am seeking corrective action and an investigation into these fraudulent activities, which have left me financially compromised. \n\n\nSubject : Urgent Report of Financial and Privacy Violations, Medical Record Manipulation, and Fraudulent Activity To Whom It XXXX Concern, I am writing to urgently bring to your attention a series of serious violations and fraudulent activities that have caused significant financial hardship, emotional distress, and breaches of privacy for both myself and my children. We have become victims of what appears to be a carefully orchestrated scheme involving unauthorized access to medical records, misuse of personal information, and the misallocation of benefits. The following outlines in detail the specific violations, the individuals involved, and the detrimental impact this has had on our lives. \n\nXXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX and Misdiagnosis My sons medical records at XXXX XXXX reveal troubling discrepancies, particularly an instance where his father, XXXX XXXX XXXX, signed as the patient for a visit. He did not sign as the legal guardian or authorized representativehe signed as if he were my son, which is neither accurate nor authorized. Additionally, my sons medical record number for this visit does not match the number assigned to him at birth. This inconsistency raises serious concerns about tampering and unauthorized access to our medical records. \n\nFurther, I suffered a XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. However, records at XXXX XXXX XXXX ( connected to XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX ) indicate my son was admitted for hemiplegic migraines on the exact dates of my hospitalization, suggesting either gross error or intentional misrepresentation. This not only complicates my own diagnosis but has led to an inappropriate medical history being attached to my son. \n\nXXXX. Financial Hardship and Incorrect XXXX Benefit Allocation Recently, the Social Security XXXX reduced my sons XXXX benefits, citing funds he supposedly received from his father, who has not made any child support payments for over XXXX months. Despite my providing evidence of this nonpayment, the XXXX has continued to decrease his benefits. This financial burden has caused me great hardship and confusion, especially as my sons fathers unpaid child support was supposed to be offset against my tax refund, which was delayed for XXXX months and ultimately arrived short by over {$2000.00}. \n\nAdditionally, the Department XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) has been deducting child support for XXXX, yet only for my son, XXXX, and not my other child. XXXX claimed no offset was done, which conflicts with earlier communications. It has also come to my attention that my insurance through XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX assurances from XXXX administrators XXXX I owe no TANF obligations. This misrepresentation of benefits further amplifies my financial distress. \n\nXXXX. XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX Evidence suggests that someone XXXX have gained unauthorized access to my online records and accounts. My IP address has shown unusual access points from XXXX, where my sons father resides. In XXXX, someone using a XXXX device accessed my XXXX account without my authorization, specifically connected to XXXX XXXX. I have explained these issues to the Department of Treasury and the Department of XXXX, but the concerns persist. \n\nAdditionally, a detective revealed that my sister had used my address with the Department XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, although her name does not appear in the XXXX system. Her use of my address for state services could be contributing to the financial and identity confusion affecting us. This misuse of my address and personal information by family members, combined with unauthorized access to my accounts, suggests a significant compromise of my personal privacy and civil rights. \n\nXXXX. Forgery, Misrepresentation, and Potential Financial Gain On XX/XX/XXXX, my sister reportedly forged my signature, making it appear that my son was in the hospital at the same time I was. This forged record enabled further manipulation of our medical history and potentially allowed for financial claims I did not authorize. In addition, school records have inexplicably reversed the roles between myself and my daughter, listing me as the student and her as the parent, which further indicates identity tampering and misrepresentation. \n\nSubjects Involved and Methods Used XXXX XXXX XXXX : Used my sons medical information, signing as the patient at XXXX XXXX without authorization. The motives appear to be tied to manipulating medical records and possibly accessing benefits fraudulently. \nMy Sister : Forged my signature, used my address with the Department XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX, and XXXX have contributed to the ongoing misrepresentation issues with the XXXX and state agencies. \nDepartment XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) : Deducted child support for XXXX but failed to apply it correctly, resulting in unexplained benefit misallocations and tax offset confusion. \n\nThese actions have collectively created a web of complications that leave XXXX vulnerable, financially strained, and emotionally distressed. Our rights to privacy, fair treatment, and accurate benefits allocation have been compromised. The effects of these ongoing issues are profound and have disrupted every aspect of our lives, leading to financial instability and unwarranted emotional trauma. \n\nRequest for Urgent Intervention I urge your office to investigate the following : Unauthorized Medical Record Access and Forgery : Violations under XXXX due to unauthorized changes and access to medical records. \nSocial Security XXXX : Manipulation of XXXX benefits and associated financial documents, resulting in incorrect benefit allocation. \nXXXX XXXX : Potential manipulation of child support payments, XXXX misallocation, and missing tax offsets. \nIdentity Theft and Impersonation : Fraudulent use of my address and unauthorized access to my records, resulting in compromised privacy and civil rights violations. \nWe have become victims treated as criminals, facing unwarranted scrutiny and reduction in necessary benefits. I respectfully ask for an in-depth investigation to provide relief, clarity, and accountability for those responsible. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to your prompt response.","date_sent_to_company":"2024-11-09T19:30:12.000Z","issue":"Improper use of your report","sub_product":"Credit reporting","zip_code":"296XX","tags":"Servicemember","has_narrative":true,"complaint_id":"10741046","timely":"Yes","company_response":"Closed with explanation","submitted_via":"Web","company":"EQUIFAX, INC.","date_received":"2024-11-09T18:41:16.000Z","state":"SC","company_public_response":null,"sub_issue":"Reporting company used your report improperly"},"highlight":{"complaint_what_happened":["In recent years, my family and I have been victims of numerous data breaches, fraudulent activities, and ongoing issues with medical, financial, and personal information. I will introduce each character, with contact information including their behavior and what I believe was unlawful during the process. First, I ( XXXX XXXX ) am a XXXX XXXX XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX. Please let me know if we can develop a story out of this complaint to further a larger investigation into this company. I take part of my earnings, XXXX, and other investments to invest in propert, and to build a nest egg for my eventual retirement later in life. Second, I reached out to my credit adjuster, XXXX ( XXXX, ( XXXX ) XXXX ) for connections to trustworthy individuals in XXXX who can help me acquire property. I was given the contact information for a realtor in XXXX named XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX. I called XXXX and set up a consultation where I explained my reasoning and plans on what I wanted to do with real estate in XXXX. Third, XXXX XXXX was working with a 'hard money ' lender to sell properties. I found out during the process of the property showings that he had only allowed me to visit/see/showed properties that he personally 'owned ' through the money from the hard money lender, which I believe to be illegal and not forthcoming about the intent of your showing as a realtor. During this period, I was also introduced to the main subject of this complaint submission, AFN XXXX XXXX. I began speaking to XXXX XXXX to handle my case with AFN Corp. XXXX XXXX ( XXXX, XXXX ) who was handling the initial phases of my case. Fourth, I stopped using XXXX XXXX as my realtor due to the lack of good faith/options and I started working with a different realtor. This began a downhill spiral in the handling of my case. XXXX and XXXX remained in contact throughout the entire time they were handling my case and he was aware of every development as it happened. I believe he was advising her on how to tank my case because, no matter what they asked me to do, they found a way for my case to not work. Fifth, as I am working with a new realtor, we found a property worth investing in : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Maryland. During underwriting, I was introduced to XXXX XXXX ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ), who severely mishandled my case that left my entire credit profile, financial future, and underwriting completely ruined. A collection of issues start here : The continued communication with the previous realtor, purposely not calculating my income to be approved for the loan, forcing me to pay a year of taxes ( I did not have to pay, instead of using a payment plan ) and charging It to several credit cards which maxed out 3 cards at over {$15000.00} plus interest in damages, Completely tanking my credit score from XXXX to low XXXX, she advised me to fake rental statements and leases, pull a cash advance from my ( now closed ) XXXX XXXX card to fake the deposits for the rental to look real, I had to pay {$40000.00} in taxes early on credit cards in total, and then after all of this, she found a way to not approve my case after two months of back and forth with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. Phone, email, and AFN records can confirm all of this. The last straw was after I stepped I was told to take and make the last payments, I was told I still was not approved unless I got a second co-signer. Now at this point, I told them I would no longer work with them after confirming with my realtor that most of the activity I experienced was against real estate laws and financial laws as well. I moved to XXXX XXXX who also informed me that they should have easily confirmed my income to be approved, as well as the guidance they gave was illegal. XXXX XXXX was able to approve my case and help me close within a month. The aftermath was that I closed on the property, but my financial profile was completely ruined. My credit score collapsed from XXXX to XXXX now, and all of my credit cards are maxed out with many of them closed, due to the credit score I was not able to refinance my payments from {$2000.00} to closer to $ XXXX per month increasing my monthly profit from $ XXXX $ XXXX, I have not been able to be approved for any home programs to fix the roofing, heater, or any other issues which arose after the purchase. My life was singlehandedly derailed by their team and after I reached out to get the documents : I was lied to by XXXX saying the case was handled over XXXX years ago, which it's only been a year and a few months ( files have to be kept by lenders for 5 years minimum ), XXXX refused to send it, then I was randomly emailed by XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, saying that \" Thanks for reaching out regarding your past file. Documents are securely uploaded through our online portal. There is no way for us to securely send your documents back to you via email. Also, there is no way for us to verify that your documents will not be delivered to another entity. This puts you and us at the risk of fraud. '' I was forwarded to reach out to XXXX, which I did, and still have not received an answer. I reached originally reached out to XXXX on XXXX, XXXX, XXXX. Correspondence between me and XXXX began on XX/XX/XXXX, and has dates of XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. My contacts at XXXX XXXX are XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX, XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX, XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX, XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX, communications with XXXX XXXX began on XX/XX/XXXX and was able to receive conditional approval on XX/XX/XXXX, received closing details on XX/XX/XXXX, and closed on XX/XX/XXXX. Less than a month, yet AFN ruined my life in less than amount of time. My first offer for refinance was within the first year of closing and could have offered me thousands in savings and I only needed a XXXX to be approved. Showcasing how much damage occurred from the recklessness of AFN 's behavior. Which Could have also saved me a ton of money during the renovation/rental process with the property. The property came with issues from XXXX XXXX ( XXXX, XXXX ), and XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX of XXXX XXXX XXXX, who had used a friend of theirs, XXXX XXXX XXXX, owner of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. to approve all the work on the house and pass inspection. The inspector is another friend of theirs, who upon asking earlier this month can not provide the inspection approval. Their team of people sold me a aome with issues that began on XX/XX/XXXX. The issues included a broken water heater that burst and flooded my entire basement on XX/XX/XXXX, a faulty roof that began to leak and damage the property on XX/XX/XXXX causedd to an incalculable amount of damage to the property, Electrical issues in the property, unpaid ground rent from XXXX, bad plumbing of the pipes in the upstairs unit, and many other issues, which I have had to pay out of pocket for. Please contact me as soon as possible and I can provide whatever other materials you may need to help with processing this case. Resolution I do not understand how a person 's life course can be altered this drastically, to the point a 'fair resolution ' can even be calculated. I would like for this company to be further investigated, I can also utilize my network/media team at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX work for their news team as a XXXX XXXX currently to help lend exposure to their behavior. The CFPB closed my complaint without allowing me to reply back in time, but I will add a summary of possible laws broken during the process and the members included in each violation. I still have not had AFN grant my request to receive copies of all of my documentation, which I am still awaiting after speaking with several individuals on their team. I would like a better resolution and a contact for a member at the CFPB to speak to before you prematurely close my complaint again this time. \n\n\nXXXX XXXX Violations to Explore 1.
