If the bank believes they can not confirm my identity, then the bank has the obligation of offering a way to confirm it. I'd be happy to send copies of identity documents, W2s, paystubs, etc. However, the bank keeps saying that the identity could not be verified, and to try again in 30 days. Basically this bank wants to ruin people 's credit by doing a hard pull every 30 days and just hide behind the phrase : we couldn't check your identity. How can you state you were unable to verify my identity if you only asked demographic information, which was correct since it's me, and then the nothing else was asked? \n\nThe cherry on top is that I already have a Care  Credit account with this bank, with XXXX balance by the way. I told them based on their demonstrated incompetence in managing the data they have, not giving them any more, just confirm my account is frozen since the first agent told me it was, but not trusting them I wanted to login and verify myself. They refused and said I had to, send a an image of my driver license. Took it back to the dealership who claimed they fixed it. They did not. Took it to a local dealership, they could not fix the problem either. The vehicle had mechanical issues that were very likely manufacturer 's defects. Having to pay thousands of dollars to fix the car and make monthly payments as well became to much for me financially. I chose to do a voluntary repossession. \n\nAfter the voluntary repossession I was sent a letter ( XX/XX/17 ) stating I still owed {$3700.00} for the vehicle. I disputed the alleged debt by certified mail within the required time frames requesting verification of the debt. Lobel Financial to date has never provided me with verification of this alleged debt. They also did not comply with FL consumer protection laws as stated on the Attorney General 's website ( XXXX ) regarding vehicle repossession. This law is stated as follows : \" Once your car has been repossessed, your creditor may decide to keep the car as compensation for your debt or resell it in a public or private sale. In either case, your creditor must notify you about what will happen to the car. If the creditor decides it wants to keep the car, you have the right to demand the car be sold instead. None of this income was bonus or commission type income and was all directly related to my profession and work as a XXXX XXXX. <P/>SoFi told me that they would not accept this income for verification purposes implying that a portion of my income would be treated like bonus or commission type income for which they ask 2 years of prior XXXX statements. Specifically, approximately {$40000.00} of my current annual income out of the {$120000.00} is regular XXXX reported taxable income ( not XXXX ) from picking up extra shifts at the XXXX ( not overtime and commonly referred to as \" moonlighting '' in the XXXX XXXX ). I do n't believe a reasonable consumer would believe that this is bonus or commission type income, and there is no information available that would suggest this type of income would be treated differently for verification purposes in the application process ( SoFi does specifically mention bonus or commission type income on their website though ). <P/>SoFi then tells me that they would no longer be able to offer the rate of 3.99 %, but that the good news was that they were still able to conditionally approve me at a new 5 year fixed rate of 5.115 % ( 28 % higher than the 3.99 % rate they had pre-approved me at ). <P/>At that point I was thinking, oh well, SoFi as a private company can set whatever standards it wants for its lending as long as not discriminating or breaking other laws. I received a call back from an unknown phone number that would not accept return calls when I was at a doctors appointment the next day. A gentleman who did not identify himself as an employee of Experian said that he was a supervisor who could help me with my personal information left a message on my voice mail, but he did not leave a phone number that would accept incoming calls. My mother died in XXXX, that same month, and I became ill, so I did not call back immediately. In the meantime, a representative from cfpb called regarding my complaints and I voiced my displeasure. My complaints were closed. I recently tried calling the number that was provided to me by Experian so that I could speak to a live agent again and a live agent is not available at that phone number- the automated system wants to verify who I am with an email and phone number that are no longer valid. Im right back to where I started with my original complaint on XX/XX/XXXX. I want to unfreeze my credit temporarily and I cant because Experian is still holding my credit XXXX. I also still want to update my personal information so that I can access my Experian account and I still cant do that either. Its been almost two years now that Ive been unable to access my Experian account. You cant do anything in the financial world without Experian. And they do not have live agents available. Its more than unfair.
