Both point to each other that it is their responsibility to correct this on my credit report. However, Carrington claims they are no longer reporting to the credit bureaus because of the discharge this is inaccurate and misleading. \n\nLegal Grounds : Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ), Carrington is obligated to ensure that any information it chooses to report is accurate and complete. The bankruptcy discharge relieved me of personal liability but did not remove the lien or the obligation to pay thus, the payment history is valid and reportable. \n\nFurthermore, their refusal to report this history may violate the Consumer Financial Protection Act ( 12 U.S.C. 5531 ) which prohibits unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices ( UDAAPs ). After speaking with HSBC bank again today they advised me since I had filed a bankruptcy petition they had a right to report the loan as derogatory and discharged because I had a bankruptcy that was discharged-regardless of the fact that the loan was not included, paid, scheduled to be paid or discharged by the chapter XXXX trustee. Also regardless of the fact that it was always paid on time-never delinquent or derogatory. I was advised by HSBC they could report the loan as derogatory and delinquent just because I filed a bankruptcy. They are refusing to correctly report the status of my loan which is hurting me financially. I am a landlord and can not refinance my properties to purchase additional properties due to this incorrect derogatory information that HSBC mortgage is maliciously reporting. HSBC has now also had their servicer- mortgage service center CHANGE information on my credit report to reflect my current mortgage with them is now CLOSED and DISCHARGED thru bankruptcy! My XXXX credit score just went down to a XXXX because of actions HSBC bank has maliciously taken! I have other mortgages with other banks and have not had this problem with them. I asked HSBC to prove ( validate ) when my account was ever late, delinquent, derogatory or discharged thru chapter XXXX bankruptcy and was advised by representative \" XXXX '' at XXXX that \" its not their job to prove anything to me. I am unsure as to WHOM owns my mortgage and to WHOM I am actually making payments to if XXXX  is claiming my home mortgage is discharged through Bankruptcy. My payments will be reported once they have the reaffirmation agreement processed in their system.\n\n2. My reaffirmation was withdrawn by my attorney.\n\n3. My account was discharged in bankruptcy and NO payment will be reported.\n\n4. Talk to your attorney because they show it withdrawn.\n\n5.
