Coordinate the review of legal and policy matters related to the Office of Innovation for the Assistant Director, Office of Innovation. Undertake legal research and synchronization to produce complete legal analysis of all Office of Innovation program proposals. Recommend modifications to program proposals based on an understanding of Office of Innovation goals and mission, and current and proposed laws and regulations. Assure coordination of projects, activities, and efforts that cross organizational lines.
In coordination with relevant Bureau divisions, including the Legal Division, act as primary liaison within the Office of Innovation on legal and internal operational matters, including Office of Innovation budget, facilities, and other operational issues, concerning the setup of regulatory programs for financial services companies to propose new tools/products for the Bureau to review and give guidance concerning existing regulations.
Monitor all policies, procedures, and guidelines to assess alignment with established and emerging Office of Innovation goals and objectives, and recommends changes to organizational structures, policies, and program emphasis to optimize efficient decision-making, operations, and accomplishment of stated goals and objectives.
Provide legal and policy support to the Assistant Director, Office of Innovation in engaging with outside experts to obtain state-of-the-art thinking in business processes, innovation and information technology to build on and strengthen Bureau’s policy, operational and outreach efforts. Support the Assistant Director in optimizing the range of existing legislation and rules to provide greater clarity, consistency, and alignment with business realities.
