Summary

This position is located at CFPB, Division of Supervision, Enforcement and Fair Lending, West Region. The incumbent plans and manages the work of diverse staff to ensure that assigned depository financial institutions and non-depository consumer financial services companies ("regulated entities") comply with federal and CFPB consumer compliance laws, regulations, and requirements.

Responsibilities

As a Supervisory Examiner (Field Manager), you will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of examiners by modeling the highest levels of integrity, stewardship of Bureau funds and the public's trust, and ethical behavior.
  • Set the team's tone and actively promote an environment that fosters and sustains diversity, inclusion, knowledge sharing, and consensus building.
  • Work closely with human resources staff on developing staff and holding the team accountable for performance and conduct.
  • Oversee a caseload of regulated entities, including those with the most complex and/or critical issues.
  • Review the quality, accuracy, and consistency of the work of professional examination, compliance and analytical staff and monitors their progress throughout the lifecycle of supervisory activity.

Travel Required

76% or greater - 76% or greater. All Field Managers will be required to perform extensive overnight travel. It is expected that Field Managers may travel outside of their regular duty location for 76% or more of their regular work schedule or 11 or more nights per month.
