Summary

This position is located at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, PROCUREMENT. The incumbent serves as a senior contract specialist in the Procurement Office performing actions associated with developing and awarding the full range of contracts, including multi-million-dollar contracts for goods and services; and provides technical advice, guidance.

Responsibilities

As a/an Supervisory Contract Specialist, you will:

  • Independently manages the day-to-day operations of CFPB's the team. Responsible for unit's successful performance. Identifies operational problems and/or issues and resolves such problems or issues.
  • Serves as a Senior Contracting Officer for the agency; and a recognized expert on Federal acquisition and contracting issues to include acquisition planning, source selection, cost/price analysis, and contract administration.
  • An expert on acquisition and contracting issues and the laws and regulations controlling these functions.
  • Helps the SPE attain socioeconomic goals including minority and women owned goals by negotiating and awarding contracts representing these goals and programs.
  • Ensures non-pay spending across CFPB is in line with the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) competition goal(s) and the small business set-aside goal(s), to include any specific Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) goals and/or mandates as applicable, including the socio-economic goals for women- and minority-owned businesses.
  • Directs, plans, and coordinates work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets, and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work
