Summary

This is a time-limited term position located at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, RESEARCH MARKETS AND REGULATIONS DIVISION. As a/an Small Business Lending Data Collection Business Product Lead, you will work closely with the Office of Technology and Innovation (T&I) to build, deploy, and evolve the technology solution to collect and publish section 1071 data as an active and full-time member of the team representing the interests of the users of the Bureau's system.

Responsibilities

As a Small Business Lending Data Collection Business Product Lead, you will:

  • Be responsible for working closely with internal Bureau stakeholders - Office of Regulations, Office of Markets, Office of Fair Lending and Equal Opportunity (OFLEO), Supervision, Enforcement and Fair Lending (SEFL) Division, and the Office of Research - as well as external stakeholders to fully understand and represent in all interactions with T&I the intent of the regulation and the uses of the data for purposes of research, supervision, and enforcement.
  • Be responsible for delivering clear communication of business needs, developing options and trade-offs, and presenting these options on system requirements to the project team. Support T&I by formulating needs of internal and external stakeholders as reflected in formulated business requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and stakeholders at other governmental agencies as necessary to resolve business questions and issues in a timely manner so that system development tasks can proceed efficiently. Navigate conflicting needs of various stakeholder groups and trade-offs between desired functionality and project constraints, such as schedule and budget. Be responsible for negotiation and manage resolution of trade-offs quickly and transparently through approved processes to ensure that the T&I development team can maintain planned build schedules with minimal rework.
