Summary

This position is located in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Office of Supervision.

The incumbent directs the examination, supervision, administrative and support functions of the Southeast Regional office.

Responsibilities

As a Regional Director, you will:

  • Plan and direct examination and supervision of regulated entities in the assigned region. Ensure regulated entities are examined at proper frequency in accordance with CFPB policies and procedures. Direct corrective actions of organizations found to be in non-compliance with established laws, regulations and policies.
  • Supervise subordinate managers and staff responsible for examinations, supervision, monitoring, analyses and various administrative activities. Work with managers and staff to develop and implement Region goals and special projects.
  • Meet with officers and boards of directors of regulated entities to discuss regulatory issues, examination reports and possible problems. Communicate with Headquarters staff, and others to keep them apprised of the status of these entities and corrective actions that have been initiated.
  • Coordinate activities with other Regions, Federal and state regulators, law enforcement agencies, Headquarters, and others by serving on management committees, attending meetings and communicating as required on issues affecting regulated entities. Assist in the establishment of national policy through interaction on national management committees and other communications channels.
