The incumbent serves as a senior policy and technical expert, analyst and advisor to these officials and staff on a broad spectrum of organizational, managerial, technical, supervision, examination, and regulatory issues related to Supervision's field operations.

As a Regional Administrative Officer, you will:

  1. Manage and oversee the daily operation of a large and/or complex regional support and administrative function consisting of numerous, diverse activities, which may include: administrative support to the supervision program, budgeting and finance, staffing and workload analysis, human resources, IT, procurement, training, records management, travel and clerical support. Develop regional positions related to resources (dollar, manpower, facilities, capital equipment, etc.) required and/or available to carry out missions and functions. Oversee day-to-day operations and for continuing performance improvement of the supervision and examination program.
  2. Provide executive leadership and guidance in developing plans and strategies to fully optimize human capital and financial resources. Review regional organizational structures and processes and make recommendations for improvement and structuring of positions and work methods to achieve optimal utilization of resources to carry out the region’s primary supervision and examination responsibilities. Oversee all aspects of the region’s personnel management program to include providing advice and assistance to managers and staff relative to human resources processes and procedures. Work with the region’s senior officials and line managers to assure that all aspects of human resource management are in compliance with CFPB ru1d Federal regulations. Coordinate, support, and carry out on behalf of regional management personnel activities impacting all regional staff, including recruiting, application reviews, interviews, regional on-boarding, performance plans, performance appraisal, performance management, disciplinary actions, leadership development, and other activities. Coordinate recruitment activities at colleges and events throughout the regional footprint. Serve as regional liaison to headquarters COO staff in such areas. Ensure assigned staff, as well as regional line managers and staff, are provided appropriate guidance, training, and support.
  3. Direct and oversee the region's financial management activities on behalf of regional management, including the preparation of special and recurring financial reports. Participate in the preparation of Congressional and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) budget submissions for the region. Oversee the budget process for the region. Develop regional budget recommendations and oversee the monitoring of expenditures against budget allocations for assigned functions. Manage and evaluate budget submissions, justify budget requirement, and direct the execution of the operating budget. Make decisions on the allocation of support and administrative resources within the region. Provide regular updates of budget status and identify potential problem areas. Develop and direct a database program for all regional budget reports, such as statistics regarding expenditures.

Occasional travel - 1 to 5 travel nights per month
