This position is located in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Consumer Education and Engagement Division, Office of Consumer Response. Consumer Response hears directly from consumers about the challenges they face in the marketplace and empowers consumers to take more control over their financial lives by answering questions, handling complaints, and sharing data.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead multiple, complex projects using project management practices, tools, techniques, and frameworks to manage and control projects throughout the project lifecycle (i.e., from initiating through closure).
  • Actively participate in research and business case documentation to help define project scope based on best practices from contact center operations, the financial services industry, and Federal government agency. 
  • Participate in defining standards operating procedures, staffing and maintenance requirements for post project implementation.
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget, quality, and scope definitions as defined by the Consumer Response Portfolio Management Office Manager. Proactively manage scope changes to minimize risk to project budget and schedule and maximize a project’s intended benefits.  Influence scope change decisions and manage expectations on release dates with business sponsors.
