This position is in the Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO), Privacy team. The CFPB is continuing to modernize its IT products and related services within Azure and AWS cloud environments. The Privacy Engineer supports privacy compliance and serves as a technical/process focused SME to implement compliance and ongoing authorization practices for data privacy considerations.

As a Privacy Engineer, you will:
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable federal privacy laws and accreditation standards, and monitor advancements in information privacy technologies to promote organizational adaptation and compliance.
- Lead the analysis of privacy and cybersecurity design requirements through sound design methodology, adequate privacy and cybersecurity control application, and effective configuration practices.
- Lead data protection responsibilities within Bureau DevSecOps processes as the privacy technical resource for Bureau project teams to include product review teams, development teams, infrastructure teams, audit teams, security, and privacy control testing teams.
- Define, plan, and apply elements in the analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of the enterprise architecture, and ensure privacy solutions are incorporated into every aspect of the enterprise architecture supporting an organization's key business processes and organizational mission.
