This position is located in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's Operations Division, Office of Technology & Innovation (T&I), Enterprise Data & Analytics (EDA). The Data Architect is responsible for developing architecture and management of data initiatives and deploying and optimizing large scale data systems.


As a Information Technology Specialist (Data Management) (Data Architect), you will:

  • Lead the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of CFPB data environment to fulfill the information requirements of the agency.
  • Support development of complex logical and physical database design efforts.
  • Ensure adherence to good data quality practices and support the identification and definition of data elements, the development of user views, and the generation of logical and/or physical data models.
  • Benchmark and analyze system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them. Create robust, high-volume production systems/architectures, and develop prototypes rapidly.
