As a Fair Lending Outreach Program and Policy Analyst, you will:
Provide subject matter expertise, policy expertise, and project management to support outreach, policy, strategy, and communication related to fair lending. Typical assignments involve analysis of regulatory issues relating to fair lending and access to credit. Develop and implement an outreach and education plan in consultation with CFPB staff, other regulators, private industry, fair lending, civil rights, consumer and community advocates, and other stakeholders.
Coordinate and collaborate with private industry, fair lending, civil rights, consumer, and community advocates on the promotion of fair lending compliance and education as required under the Consumer Financial Protection Act. As an authority, engage in policy discussions with external stakeholders. Work with team members to enhance communication flow on fair lending issues from stakeholders to appropriate parts of the Bureau. Make policy recommendations to CFPB senior management based on outreach and policy analysis.
Conduct outreach activities related to a wide range of fair lending and access to credit issues. Serve as primary contact to respond to fair lending queries from consumer advocacy groups and industry concerning the impact of fair lending supervisory, enforcement, or regulatory activities. Educate various stakeholders on the mission and goals of the Office, as well as the relevant policy positions of the Bureau and the Office.
Occasional travel - Occasional travel may be required.
53 - Due to this position being a detail, you will retain the pay you are currently receiving from your position of record. Bureau employees who meet the qualifications will receive a competitive temporary promotion in accordance to our agency policy.
