The following are the duties of this position at the CN-52 (Broadly equivalent to the GS-12). If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

  • Develops strategy and planning for events and coordinates with the Staff Director and senior External Affairs leadership for EA-led events, including advisory committee meetings, field hearings, town halls, and other events as applicable and assigned. Manages all components of an event and executes event planning and strategy for Bureau events.
  • In coordination with offices across the Bureau, develops strategy and planning to organize Bureau events and coordinates the logistics of these events.
  • Develops background material and prepares briefing memos, info memos, and recommendation memos as needed for the CFPB’s Director and senior leadership, for External Affairs-led events.
  • Executes the External Affairs strategic plan for engagement with external stakeholders through public and non-public events. Leads the planning, organization, and logistics for all assigned External Affairs-led events, including advisory committee meetings, field hearings, town halls, and other events as needed.
