This position is located in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR.
The CFPB’s mission is to help consumer financial markets work by making rules more effective, by consistently and fairly enforcing those rules, and by empowering consumers to take more control over their economic lives.
With the Assistant Director, Chief Communications Officer and Office of Public Affairs staff, organizes and manages the master calendar and strategy for the timing and rollout of Bureau events and new media messaging. Advise internal Bureau partners on overall consistency and strategic requirements for external messaging.
Serve as point of contact for internal Bureau staff regarding external messaging and blog posts or other outreach events. Advise staff on appropriate timelines for blog posts or other content.
Assign blog posts and other content to searchable categories and determines need for new categories to ensure Bureau content is easily accessible to the general public.
Review Bureau content and proposed roll out calendars to assess for strategic opportunities or potential risks in light of current internal or external environments
Occasional travel - 01 to 05 nights per month
