This position is located in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Office of Supervision and Examinations. The CFPB's mission is to help consumer financial markets work by making rules more efficient enforcing those rules, and by empowering consumers to take more control over their economic lives.

Responsibilities

The following are the duties at the CN-53 level. (Equivalent to the GS-13).  If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. The major duties of this position include:

  • Lead in the development, implementation, and operations of supervision tools and systems to support the CFPB’s supervisory process.
  • Facilitate the management of information systems and collection of supervisory data to be used by the Offices of Supervision, Fair Lending, and Enforcement.
  • Lead the development of business requirements, implementation of requirements, testing, and operation of tools to support CFPB’s supervisory process.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of financial consumer protection issues and the federal consumer protection laws and regulations governing these issues to, among other things, develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to facilitate information sharing and the supervisory process.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - 1 to 5 nights per month.
